"Pete, you ready for this?" Tony asked as he peered around the Stark Tower wall. As soon as Peter walked out he'd get a reaction of what his future would be. Great? Bad? Both?

"Yeah. . . Just . . . Give me a moment." Tony frowned.

"Kid, we knew this would happen sooner or later." Tony pointed out. Peter nodded as he put his mask on.

"I know."

"Okay. Let's go?" Peter nodded in confirmation.

The two walked out of the doors and hoops filled the crowd. One in particular stuck out, "Spiderman! You saved my daughter from a rape! I owe you!" Peter couldn't help but smile in achievement.

"It's not my job." This silenced the crowd. Peter took off the mask and smiled. "It's my future, my life, and my heart guys and gals. I mean, how many times have you asked yourself if you were safe or if your children would make it home from their friends' homes safely? My Aunt that's my legal guardian now due to my parents death by airplane crash, worries her heart out every time I go to my best friend Ned's house! I get bullied at school and yet I know I've got to look out for that little guy because no one else does. It's fight aliens and take care of the big bad for the stronger heroes. I'm only here to protect the ones who need the most help during this. No, I'm not an Avenger. I'm just a vigilante that cleans up the streets. No, I don't work for anyone. I have a job as Tony Stark's intern." Peter gripped the microphone nervously and looked at Tony who only smiled and nodded him on.

"Peter, how did this happen to you? What powers do you have?" Asked a beautiful blonde from the crowd with a camera.

"Well, I was on a class field trip when I was thirteen. In a lab a spider with a number on the back was let loose. I was bit by that radioactive spider. Anyway, my powers are, high metabolism, super strength, enchanted scenes that are dialed up to eleven, so keep it down would ya?" A couple of small laughs grazed the crowd and that made some of the nerves go away. "Um, I have this tingling sensation that goes up my spine, I call it spidey sense. Really it's a sixth sense that tells me something is going to happen before it does. I also can stick to ceilings. That's how I crawl up buildings and all." The votes was amazed. This was live on TV and that made Peter more nervous.

"Peter, is it true that Tony Stark is your mentor?" Peter then stopped. He thought for a moment before looking at the man beside him. The man only smiled. This meant something to the boy.

"He's not my mentor." Tony felt a pang in his chest. He wasn't?

"He's a father figure that's taught me more than I would ever find out on my own about this super hero business. I'm not sure how many of you dislike superhero's or what's the deal but I'm telling you now that this guy is one of the greatest. He may not be the first or the last standing but he's one of them. Isn't that enough?" People were shooketh.
Tony wiped his eye before Peter could see as the kid looked over.

"Peter Parker!" Peter turned to a man who smiled nicely. How lucky could his Parker luck get? So many nice people!

"How long do you plan on being here for us?"

"Well, until the day I die protecting or until I'm too old to swing around these buildings." The crowd laughed a tad once more.

"What about your webs?" Asked a younger girl in her moms arms.

"I make them myself in the lab."

"How smart are you?"

"He's got the smarts in science, I'll tell ya that."

"Tony Stark! Is Peter Parker a son to you? Will he be staying with you until this blows over?"

Peter wanted to hear this.

"Indeed He is. I'm telling ya now, every time he comes back with cuts and gashes and wounds, I think I might have a breakdown. It's hard. It's like watching your kid break an arm only it's every day for me. It's hard but it's who he is and who he'll stay. I love him and it's going to be like that even after they put me six foot in the ground. Also, he will be staying with me until this blows over. So will his lovely Aunt." Tony winked and let the crowd soak in the speech.

Peter was watching the man he had looked up to since he was younger than he could remember.

"Peter, do you hate those who hate you?"

"I-uh, no. Everyone has there own point of view and I'll let them have it." Peter shrugged. This made people feel better.

"Do you plan on joining the Avengers?"

"I'm not sure to be completely honest."

"Mr. Parker!" Peter turned to the right of the crowd and saw it was his school gathered there. He gulped.

"Hey, guys!"

"No way, dude!" Ned Leeds gasped.

Peter smiled and pointed to him and had one of Tony's guards escort Ned up to the platform he was on with Tony Stark. Ned smiled hugely.

"This is the best thing ever!" He squealed. Peter couldn't help but chuckle. Flash Thompson's face would most likely go down in history. MJ smiled from the crowd, her face finally out of a book. Peter had her come up also.

"These are my friends."

"I am a queen now, aren't I?" MJ murmured. Peter couldn't contain a snicker.

"That will be all the questioning. You'll find out more on Spiderman later on. Have a nice day everyone!" Tony finished as he set the microphone onto the stand and lead the three teens into the building safely.

Once all in and everyone was getting taken care of outside, the three were bursting with conversation that old Tony Stark couldn't catch up with.

"Alright, nerds I'm going to the office. Pep's got papers I need to fill out. I'll be back later."

"Wait, Mr. Stark, can I talk to you?" Peter asked, the puppy look was enough to make Tony do anything.

"Sure, Kid."

The two went into a common room.

"What's up? Is everything good with you?"

"I'm just letting you know I meant every word I said up there about you. I love you too and all. I couldn't do this alone."

"Didn't doubt that for a second l, Underoos. You never were alone." The two smiled.
