"Tony, I've noticed you've been super busy recently. We all have with all of this Avenger and your business stuff and sorting stuff out with S.H.I.E.L.D, but Peter hasn't been able to participate and he's . . . alone." Clint wasn't always one to just show his softy side. Usually goofy or hard-faced archer.

"I've noticed and I agree. What should I do?" Tony sighed. As he ran a hand through his hair after the days work. The city never slept though. The night was strung with the cities lights.

"A pet. Or some sort of companion."

Tony agreed to May that he'd take Peter if anything ever happened. May had been in a car accident about a year ago. Tony was now Peters legal guardian and practically father and son. Pepper was the mom and the three couldn't be happier.

"A dog. He's always wanted a dog. He just couldn't have a dog in his apartment! A little puppy! A golden retriever! He'll love it! Thanks Clint!" Tony grabbed his keys and glasses as he slid them on and readied himself to go down.

Clint smiled and shook his head. Then, Peter came out and had his nose in a book.

"Hey, Kid, what ya readin'?" Peter look up and smiled.

"Ah, just reading a fiction book. I'm trying to get my goal at school. I have to get so many points to boost up my grade." Peter explained as he grabbed a juice box and a nutrition bar.

"Where's Da-Mr. Stark." Peter asked as he looked around, pretending nothing had just happened. Clint chuckled at the boy.

"It's good. I won't tell your secret feelings, Kid. Don't worry by the way; he feels the same way about you. I promise you." Clint nodded and sipped at his water.

"I'm glad. I didn't want it to be awkward. I really didn't." Clint nodded in understanding. "I love him like a father, Clint. How am I suppose to just keep calling him Mr. Stark?" Peter put a bookmark in his book as he shut it.

"Kid, you'll both spill. I promise." Clint stood just as the elevator dung. Tony came flying out with something he was carrying but it was covered with a blue blanket as he carried it from the handle.

"What in the hell did you find now?" Rhodey asked as he walking into the room. Tony snorted as he set it down and something shuffled.

"Pete, I got you a little something. I've been away and busy a lot lately and I hate to think that you have to be here alone. So, I got you something that will hopefully make you less lonely." Tony said as he admired the way Peter went eyes wide and they began to grow with excitement.

"You didn't have to-."

"Oh come on, Kid. I'm practically your father. I'll get ya a present when I wanna." Tony crossed his arms and put his sunglasses on his head. Then, he realized what he said.

"Thank you, for being there." Peter said and hugged Tony. The man couldn't help but smile.

"Alright, up that up before it suffocates." Peters eyes grew even more, if it were possible.

Peter bent down to the presents level and removed the blanket. A kennel was all he could see. Then, he slowly opened it; cautious of what was inside. All of a sudden, a golden retriever puppy ran out and tackled Peter. Peter laughed and hugged the puppy before pulling it outwards and taking a good look at the puppy.

"He's perfect!" He shouted and set the pup down and began playing with him.

"I'm glad you like him." Tony smiled. Rhodey and Clint were smiling at the scene like proud uncles.

"Like him? I love him! What should I name him?!" The dog began to run around happily.

"Man, he sure can run." Clint observed.

"Miles. I should name him Miles." Peter smiled. Miles came back and licked Peters face. Peter laughed and picked up the puppy before hugging Tony again. Miles yapped happily. Tony patted his kids back before letting the two go and watching as they played in the living room.

"You did good, maybe I could get you a dad of the year award." Rhodey teased.

"Maybe." Tony laughed. He was happy he could make his kid happy. He knew that dog was the luckiest.
