Song: Wildfire by Seafret
Alexander:
It's been several weeks since I have last seen Willa. I decided that not seeing Willa for a while will both have less drama and let me focus on the wedding which has been working so far. I have also been able to focus more on my job and so here I was, in my office trying to figure out everything out for work so that once the wedding day comes and I leave for the honeymoon, nothing will go wrong. I heard a knock on the door and then in comes in Elizabeth. She was wearing skinny blue jeans with a peach blouse with a leather jacket. Typical Elizabeth outfit. "Hey, babe. So I spoke with Sarah, the florist, and I just told them that I would love for them to attend the wedding just so that everything goes well with the flower arrangements." She says as she sits down. I looked at her, taken back by what she said. Wait, what? She is making them come? "Just the woman or the woman and that other girl?" The other girl being Willa seeing how she has been at all the meetings. Elizabeth sighs and then responds. "Well the both of them, Alexander. That old woman won't be doing everything by herself. Plus two is better than one." She says as she starts typing on her phone. I wanted to punch the wall. Well awesome! She is forcing my ex-wife to attend the wedding. Fuck.
"Oh and we can't forget the dinner party. I also have to do my dress fitting for my wedding gown just so that the gown is perfect in time for the wedding just in case I have to make any last minute changes to it." Elizabeth really is trying to do a lot right now and the wedding isn't until two more months. She then gets up and walks towards me, standing behind me, putting her hands down my chest over my shirt. "You look tired. What are you doing?" She asks, giving me small kisses on my neck. "I am trying to make sure everything goes well at work so that nothing goes wrong while I am gone," I tell her, not really in the mood to do anything after the news she told me. "I am sure the job will do okay. Do you want to go to bed with me? I can help relieve some of that tension for you." She suggests. I shook my head. "No. I need to head off anyways to do some last minute things. Maybe later." I tell her. I then get up, letting her hands fall off of me as I grab my jacket. "Where are you going?" She asks, her face looking a bit mad. "Elizabeth, does it really matter?" I tell her, grabbing my keys last. She crosses her arm but doesn't say anything. I exit my office, going down the stairs. Elizabeth and I have been working more together for the wedding but it does most of the time, end up with me standing in the background watching her do her thing. It's more of an Elizabeth wedding then both of our wedding. I was mostly leaving the house though to get away from wedding planning and also to check up at work.
I headed towards my job first, driving there in silence. Once I arrived at the large building, I went towards the main building, several people in suits walking past me, some of them saying hi to me. The desk clerk smiled at me saying "Welcome back Mr. Cambell." I just gave her a curt nod and then went towards the elevator, my shoes giving a small clicking sound from the hard marble floor. Going to the very top of the building where my office was located at. Once there, my personal assistant behind a big desk. "Welcome back Mr. Cambell." I nodded, responding back "Morning, Becka. Are there any calls for me?" I ask her. She then looks down at her notes. "There have been a few calls for you about meeting and rescheduling. Mr. White would like to meet with you tomorrow morning about a merge. He is a new client of ours." She says as she explains everything. I note everything down in my own personal planner. "Alright. Anything else I need to note down?" I ask her. She continued to go through her paperwork and then gives me a few papers. "Yes. Here are a few of the paperwork for the budget and the rundown of the business. There have been a few emails about the run down as well from each building. And I did reschedule each meeting from today to either tomorrow and the next few days which I have emailed to you as well." She says. I looked at all the papers. Once she was done, I entered my office, setting my coat and keys down, sitting down behind my huge desk.
