After several hours of us both cuddling and crying slightly, I finally stood up and started walking to the bathroom, hoping I didn't look as horrid as I felt I looked like. I stood in front of the mirror and gasped quietly. My hair was going in all different directions in many different clumps/knots. My face was streaked with bright red from all the crying, and my eyes were even more red than the rest of my face was. I looked like a zombie who had been clawing out of the ground for months straight and had gotten the blood from their nails all over their face. It was horrid. I was absolutely surprised that Tal hadn't run away from me screaming at the top of his lungs and that he had never come back and wasn't ever going to. To start I stripped off my clothes and stepped into the shower, squealing quietly when the cold water hit my skin. I instantly cranked the heat all the way up, hoping it would warm up quickly if I did so. I stepped out about 20 minutes later, having spend over 15 minutes on just washing my hair and trying to get it back to it's original state and not in the zombie-like state it was in. After drying off, I blow-dried my hair, brushing through it as I did so. After putting the blow-drier away, I brushed through it again constantly for the next two minutes, making sure that every knot was out completely. I french braided my hair and wrapped it into a bun. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around myself, having forgotten to grab clothes. I walked out and Tal slowly sat up and looked at me, staring as I walked over to my suitcase.
"Yes?" I asked him, grabbing this from my suitcase:
I walked back into the bathroom, slipping everything on and pulling the boots onto my feet. I walked back out, waiting for Tal to say something.
"Nothing." He finally answered as he grabbed some clothes and walked into the bathroom. Shortly after he had shut the door, I could hear the shower start. I chuckled lightly to myself, making my way into the kitchen to find something for breakfast..or lunch since it was already 1 in the afternoon. I couldn't believe that we had stayed in bed that long just crying with one another. I wondered if everything would be kind of weird between us now considering the things that were said. I hoped they would end up bringing us closer together and not farther apart...even though we were already so close...
"What do we have for breakfast?" I heard Tal say and I turned around from the cupboard just in time to see him walk up behind me.
"Don't you mean lunch?" I say as he wraps his arms around my waist and rests his head on my shoulder.
"Lunch?"
"It's already 1 o'clock."
"Already?" He said, scrunching up his face.
"Yes...already."
"It doesn't seem like it's already 1..it feels like it's 8."
"It does, but it isn't..so we're going to eat lunch, and not breakfast. And then, we're going to watch a movie or I'm going to write more for my book while you do whatever."
"I like the first option better."
"Well...get the movie set up then! Just don't push play until the food is done and we're both sitting down and ready to watch it."
"Yes ma'am!" Tal said, standing up straight and saluting me. I laughed and saluted him back. He slowly made his way to where he kept the movies, almost as if he were a spy trying not to get caught. I laughed again and decided to make chicken nuggets and french fries. I preheated the oven and got both of the pans ready to be put in the oven and get cooked. I exited the kitchen, grabbed my phone, and went to sit at the make-shift bar. I checked all my social medias, and thankfully I had no missed calls or any new messages. I played a few games until the oven was finally preheated. I put the pans in the oven and set the timer, going back to the game I had been playing while Tal continued to mess around with the DVD's.
After I had dished out the food among two plates, I grabbed them both and headed towards the couch, setting one in Tal's lap since he was now sitting, and resting the other on my lap. We ate in silence, both too hungry to stop for a few moments to make small conversation. We both knew that the other was extremely hungry, and we could respect their wishes to just eat and not have to deal with their stomachs yelling at them any longer. After we had finished, I grabbed mine and Tal's plates and started washing them in the sink. When I was about halfway done, Tal came up behind me and started washing with me. He grabbed my wrists from behind and was controlling my movements, making me laugh when he made me mess up. Once the dishes were washed, we dried our hands and curled up on the couch to watch a movie..
