"Tal?" I said after we had finished all of the donuts.
"Yes?" He said, grabbing the box like he was ready to throw it away, stopping his motions to look at me.
"When you did it with Allison, did it mean anything to you?"
"No. I dreaded the next time we had to do it every minute we weren't."
"oh." Suddenly, we heard a loud banging on the door. "What was that?" I asked Tal, my heart thundering in my chest like a hammer.
"I think someone's here. Stay here..I'll go check." He slowly got up and, throwing away the donut box first, crept over to the door. He peered through the peep-hole and stumbled backwards.
"Tal? Who is it?"
"It's....it's....it's HER!" He said, his eyes wide in shock. I rushed over to him and clutched onto his arm.
"It can't be. How could she know where we are?"
"I don't know." I let go of his arm and peered through the door, seeing Allison standing there and knocking on the door. Her hair was in an extremely high pony-tail, and she was wearing all black leather from her head to her toe. She had no one with her that I could see, but that didn't mean they weren't there.
"Tal? What do we do?" I said, rushing back to his side and clutching his arm tight.
"Tal, honey? I know you're in there! Please let me in!! I don't like standing out here all by myself. I need your help. That evil witch Eva is bullying me again and I need you to comfort me." I heard Allison say through the door.
Tal leaned down to whisper in my ear, "I don't think she knows you're here." I shivered from the hot breath he had sent down my neck. I instantly got goosebumps.
"I know you're in there. You have something I want...something I need in order for us to be together forever without any interruptions. Please let me in." Allison said again, trying to make herself seem like the innocent one who would never do anything to hurt someone else.
"Eva? We need to go. Grab your phone and a small bag of things. Make sure to put some of my things in there too. I'll grab a different bag with food and water. Go!" Tal whispered in my ear. I rushed into the bedroom, grabbing my backpack and dumping the contents on the floor. The hotel could do my homework for me. I threw at least two complete sets of clothes in there, a set of pajama like clothes, sweatshirts, socks, underwear, bras(in my case), toothbrushes, a hairbrush with several hair-ties wrapped around it, deodorant, toiletries, perfume, chargers, my phone, Tal's phone, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, floss, the little amount of make-up I had, and some wipes. I went back to our suitcases and grabbed as many items of clothing as I would possibly squeeze into the backpack, and rushed into the other room, satisfied with how much of our belongings could fit in one backpack. Tal was almost done, having had to find food that wouldn't spoil without being chilled, food that didn't need cooked, and food that could still keep us from starving to death and not require any of these things. He had the tougher job. I made sure that I had grabbed all the money we owned, and by then Tal was finished.
"You grabbed our phones?" He asked, zipping the backpack and slinging onto his shoulders, whispering so Allison couldn't hear us.
"Yes."
"The chargers?"
"Yes."
"Clothes?"
"Plenty of them."
"Money?"
"Yes."
"Bathroom things."
"Yes."
