"Last box is seven."

I finished the last sudoku I had in my book. It was the last day of their mission tomorrow. I just had to go through the next 26 hours alone. Ring! The house phone went off.

"Hello?" I answered it.

"H-Hey Sonic."

"Hi Silver, what going on?" I sat back down, "Something good come into the shop?"

"Actually yeah," he answered, "they just brought in this knew drink. It some sort of bubbly fruit soda I think. I was wondering if maybe... maybe I could drink some... um... over to your place. We could try it together."

"Yeah, that sounds great," I said, "when's a good time?"

"M-maybe tonight? I get off early."

"Sure, tonight sounds great."

"Alright, yeah! I'll be over at eight."

"Great, see you then."

"Yes!!! Awsome!!" I heard him cheering over something.

"Silver, you forgot to hang up," I said.

"Oh crap! Sorry. I just got an extra bottle, that's all. Hahahahaha.... okay bye," he hung up and I put the phone back.

"That phone call was kinda glitchy. It almost sounded like Silver was stuttering. Phone signals are weird," I rolled up my sleeves, "Alright, time to deep clean this place before Silver gets here."

I cleaned everything as best as I could, with an hour and a half left to cook and left the place air out. I desired to make something light for dinner. A light salad and some veggie patties with a light red sauce over it. Some fried tomatoes on the side.

"Perfect," I set the plates out and the bell rang.

"Hey," Silver was at the door.

"You're dressed nicely. Did you come from someplace fancy," I said, letting him in.

"N-No wear nice. I just forgot to set my laundry to the drier, this was all I had left," he said.

"Come in. I hope you don't mind but, I made some food in case you were hungry. It's close to diner time so I though I'd make something," I said, closing the door behind him.

"I don't mind at all. It smells delicious," he said, handing me the yellow bottle, "this is the drink we got. What do you think?"

"It looks festive. I'll get us some glasses. Go ahead and take a seat."

I put out two glass cups and poured out the orange beverage. It was nice to not be alone.

Sonic had even cooked. His house was so amazingly clean. I took a picture of the gorgeous meal he prepared before tasting it. It was outstanding! The flavors were perfectly balanced. It was refreshing and filling all at once. I have never eaten at a five star restaurant with this skill.

"Sonic this is amazing! I've never had anything like it," I took three more bites.

"It's nothing really," his blush was so cute. He got so shy, it was adorable, "I'm sure someone else has a better recipe."

"Nothing is better than your cooking."

"You're just saying that because you can't cook," he laughed his adorable laugh.

"Guilty as charged," we laughed and Sonic took a sip of the soda, "You like it?"

"It's good, really sweet," he smiled.

I took a sip, "it is sweet. Good thing I got a second bottle."

We drank and ate. Soon we moved to the couch and simply refilled the glasses. Though, I was starting to feel a bit lightheaded. Sonic was kinda acting strange. He would giggle a lot and wasn't as shy.

"Silver, is it warm in here?" He asked.

"Not really," I stopped drinking and looked at the empty bottle. All normal ingredients, "Oh crap, this had gin in it! Damn it Mighty, say something next time."

"Silver, are we all out?" Sonic took the bottle.

"Yes, and I think you've had enough anyway," I pulled the half empty bottle from him.

"You're lying," Sonic's pout was so cute, but I couldn't give him anymore, "come on~ pour it a prove its empty."

"Sonic, don't pull the puppy eyes," I begged.

"Prove it or... or I'll take this off," he started unbuttoning his shirt.

"Sonic no!" Man I really wanna see that... no, I can't do this.

"Thank goodness you can Chaos Control. We got a extra day off now," Rouge stretched as we walked down to the front door of our house.

"What ever, I just wanted to get out of there," I opened the door, and I was ready to kill the man in our living room.

Sonic was shirtless, he was being pinned down by some guy on our house.

"Who the fuck are you?" Rouge glared.

"I'm sorry," the white hedgehog moved off Sonic, "It isn't what it seems. I was trying help him keep his shirt on and he's drunk so he not listenin-"

"GET OFF HIM AND GET OUT NOW," I growled.

"Right, see ya Sonic," he grabbed his coat, shoes, and ran out of the house.

  Sonic was completely waisted.

"Alright Sonic, it's bed time," I picked him up.

"Shadow we can't just put him to bed. This stuff is really sweet, he could get a cavity," Rouge said, "clean him up first."

"I will. You clean up," I took sonic to the bathroom.

He was annoying to manage when drunk. He turned on the water and jumped in with his clothes.

"Sonic no! You'll catch a cold," I tried pulling him out, he wasn't cooperating.

"No! I wanna play in the water," he splashed me.

I just grabbed his tooth brush and brushed his tether there. I washed him and dried and changed his clothes into pyjamas. He passed out as soon as his head hit the pillow.

"You're a piece of work," I sat at the foot of his bed.

I walked down to see how much Sonic had to drink. They had a bottle and a half of a him smoothie soda.

Rouge fell asleep on the couch and I cleaned up. This is gonna suck, Sonic's gonna wind up with a hangover.
