PoV: 3rd Person 

  Tears poured down peach cheeks. The broke plate left miniature cakes splattered all over.

"... It... its... really..."

"Sonic..."

  Shadow ran to his lover who stood in shock. Emerald eyes could not believe who they where seeing. Sonic squeezed Shadow in an extremely tight embrace he broke down into tears. Three sets of curious eyes watched the scene as they ate cake from the floor.

"You have no idea how much I missed you," Shadow wiped tears from his eyes to look at every detail of Sonic's face, "You're as beautiful as the day I met you."

"You don't look and different either," Sonic laughed through his tears.

  Shadow kissed Sonic for the first time in three years. They stayed that way for a long time, until

"Mama, cake."

"What..." Shadow's hands shook hearing that.

  Little hands pulled on Sonic's sleeve, "Mama don't cry."

"Shadow... I tried to get G.U.N to tell you. That night before you left, well. You got me pregnant. These are your sons," Sonic hugged the triplets and introduced them one by one. He guided over one in a red shirt. All of them had black fur with violet stripes. Completely identical, "This is Evan," Sonic guided over the one in a violet shirt next, "Elijah," Sonic finally pulled over the one in a blue shirt, "And Elias."

"All three of them? These are mine?" Shadow's hand shook as he reached for the three children he never knew he had.

"You're the only one I've had. I haven't  wanted anyone other than you since you left," Sonic showed Shadow the ring in his finger. Sonic's fur was pale below the ring. He never removed the ring, not since the day it was placed on his finger.

"I thought about you everyday we were apart," Shadow kissed his fiance and hugged his children, "How old-?"

"They're two," Sonic answered, "Born in April. They were born April 22nd."

"Sonic, why don't go home," one of Sonic's co workers picked up the triplets, "You two are still in the bakery."

"Right, Right. Let's go," Sonic unlocked the door to his house. He let Shadow and Rouge in after Rouge gave him a big hug.

  Shadow looked around. A couch and TV. There the drawers for the kids toys and they had their own beds in one room.

"I'm sorry you had to raise them alone all this time," Shadow said hugging Sonic from behind.

"I wasn't entirely alone. G.U.N gave me a Nanny and was paying child support in your absence. Life has been peaceful here. It's perfect, now that you're home."

"I won't leave you again. Once G.U.N gives me that last check I'm quitting," Shadow said, "We can by a big house, for the five of us, and a room for Rouge since she won't leave."

"I have a better idea."

  Sonic and Shadow follow put with a new plan they created together. The bought the empty house next door and reconstructed the two into one house. It was the same small homeyness with enough space for everyone on the 2nd floor. The ground floor was remodel into a cafe. Shadow made The coffees and Sonic made the baked goods. Rouge worked as their waitress. Soon the triplets began helping with welcoming the customers. When they got older they started taking orders and helping in the kitchen. Hedgehog Bakery was changed to Family Cafe. It became the town's secret hotspot. Tourist care not, but everyone who lived there knew exactly how extraordinary it was.

  The last thing left on their list was the wedding.
