PoV: Shadow
"Shadow, Rouge. I must congratulate you," Tower had us in his office, "You're working flawlessly with your squadron. It is amazing how eight months of living with a veteran dies to ones improvement."
"Sir," I began, "Why decide to change the date we leave the house?"
"Sonic has been babysitting the two of you," he answered, "Now That you two are cooperating with the team, he no longer needs to watch you. With that said, you have the rest of the month off to pack. Next month you need to prepare."
"Prepare for what sir?" Rouge asked.
"You will going on a two year long mission. You'll need to pack what you need. Everything else will be packed I to a vault, awaiting your return," he handed me the file.
"Sir two years..." I had never felt like this... Sonic's smile felt like it was fading from my mind.
"It's a stealth mission. You two need to build up your trust of the enemy. You will need to get close to their boss. Find out the plans and report back anything new you find. Then when given the order, you will assainate him and not a moment sooner. Dismissed."
We walked home. Rouge broke down crying.
"I wish we never met him. Then this would hurt so much," she wept.
"It's too dangerous to bring Sonic with us. We both knew we'd have to say goodbye to him someday. Our lives will be back to how they used to be next month..." I wanted to hit something. I wrinkled the files in my hand.
We went home, Sonic was packing things into boxes.
"Welcome home," he smiled, but the tear stains on his cheeks told me he was just as upset as we were.
The month went by horrible slow. A second was a minute, and minute and hour, and hour was a day, a day felt like a week. We had packed the last box by the start of June. Our lives had turned to hell.

"Shadow," Sonic was sitting on my bed, "I guess if your leaving for two years I can't exactly live with you."
"I've tried changing it, but I've had no luck," I hugged him. I had called Tower everyday to get him to cancel the mission, or even shorten it to no avail.
"I'm gonna miss you," Sonic cried.
"Sonic, the last thing I want to see is your crying face. Please, let me see you smile when I go," I kissed his forhead.
"I'm going miss you too much, I can't help but cry because..." he lowered his voice, quiet but not quiet a whisper, "... because I love you."
I kissed him and took him right there. I pulled his shirt of and opened his pants to kiss his scar. I kissed him all over, his breathing grew heave as he held my hand. I knew what he had been making me feel since I began falling for him. I had fallen in love with him, and I never knew it.
Lemons
Sonic unbuttoned my shirt for me as we continued our kiss. I laid him down and gently embraced him. Sonic gripped my shoulders which signalled me to stop.
"It's my first time with a guy. Be gentle okay..." Sonic asked.
"I'll be careful," I kissed him, "I promise."
PoV: 3rd Person
Shadow gently enter Sonic's body. The hedgehog winced from the unfamiliar feeling. The ebony hedgehog waited for the roommate who stole his heart to adjust. The slow rocking and swaying of their bodies began as they held each other in a tender embrace.
Sonics moans and pants were muffled by walls. The camera in Shadow's room covered by black tape so no one could see him in his personal time. Sonic's moaning continued when Shadow kissed hi la new lover's neck.
They're physical affection ended with Shadow release into Sonic's body, Sonic himself had gently released between them.

Sonic fell asleep after we finish. It wasnt something I intended to do, but I was greatful the moment came. I never wanted to leave his side. I had to be sure I returned to him, and I knew one way to do just that.
