Briar POV
"Thanks so much for the ride, Vic." I shout and wave her goodbye.
"You're welcome." Vic said and the drove off.
I walk inside my very old rental house. I see my dad sitting at the dining table going over a gigantic pile of papers. He looks stressed, I wonder whats wrong.
"Hey dad, whats going on?" I ask him.
"Hi honey." He says looking up at me. "I'm just doing some paperwork, nothing for you to worry about."
"Okay." I say, brushing it off.
I trust my dad completely. Ever since my Mum and younger sister died two years ago, we've had each others backs no matter what. And if I needed to know about something then he'd tell me.
"Dad, can I ask you something?" I ask him.
"Of course." Dad tells me. "You can ask me anything."
"How did you tell mum that you liked her?" I ask, hesitantly.
"I just went up and told her." He says like it was nothing.
Great. Well that's definitely something I could never do. I freeze ever single time I walk up to Myles. He'd probably just ignore me the way he does with ever other girl that tries to talk to him.
"Why?" Dad asks me, curiously. "Do you like someone?"
"Maybe." I mutter, and walk upstairs to my room.
I look over at my desk and suddenly an idea hits me. I could write him a letter.
