The attic door seemed to be punched through, slamming against the ceiling. Lola didn't even flinch.

She felt her mind start to border up, her screams deceased and soon her tears were beginning to dry up on her cheeks and face. Her eyes stared unblinkingly before her as she stared at the hanging body, in her eyes she slowly found all memories flashing before her eyes.

When the Dark Angel blocked her view, her whole body was limp with every terror she could think of. The Dark Angel slammed Lola against the wall; she stared into the Dark Angel's eyes without too much emotion. All screams had escaped, all tears stopped dripping and she found herself hoping, even daring, the Dark Angel to kill her.

The Dark Angel's fingers wrapped around Lola's neck and practically picked her up. Lola didn't try to pry the Angel's hands off her neck, her Mum's eyes continued to haunt her even as the Dark Angel started muttering something.

Tears were forced out of her eyes by the choke, but other than that, Lola didn't mutter a word, whimper a noise or move a muscle.

Every insult attacked Lola at once, Jasmine's, her Mum's, Angels, complete strangers... some were new and some were old, any assault, recent or old, flashed in her mind. Her emotions were shattered as everything seemed to form a strong wall around everything and all the insults, all the people who ever hurt her no longer seemed to matter. Nothing seemed to matter, not even her own life seemed important.

But then something cut through her thoughts.

Loud bangs!

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Lola's eyes didn't focus straight away, but the Dark Angel stared at Lola for a moment as a small hiss escaped its lips and its grip around her neck slip away.

It collapsed to the ground.

Annika stood at the window of the attic, her whole body seemed to be a shadow, and all Lola could really see was a gun in her hands and smoke escaping the barrel.

The whole room seemed to brighten up suddenly as Lola slowly lay down on the floor.

Annika jumped from one side to the other, several times she looked like she was going to come in, but she kept jumping back. Lola stared at Annika as she continued to do her dance; the room suddenly became very warm and became even brighter.

She could hear a voice that sounded very distant, but whoever was saying it was trying to be loud, but it just didn't sound loud enough.

"...Let me in!" Lola could barely hear.

Her eyes were glued onto the window where she saw Annika framed by the blurry, roaring flames. She was pacing before the window, but she wouldn't come in. She could barely read Annika's lips as Lola hugged her knees, "Lola..." she could read, everything seemed to slow down and blur. Lola barely even realised it was her own tears.

When her eyes seemed to clear up everything came back up to speed and Annika's voice cut through a sort of cracking Lola could hear as well. "Lola, let me in!" She heard Annika demand, her voice didn't match her face though.

But Lola's mouth barely even muttered, "Come in..."

Annika stared at the scene before her, she went wide eyed, "Lola, let me in! The attic is on fire! Let me in!" she screeched.

She watched as Lola hugged her knees on the other side of the room. Annika went wide eyed as she screeched it again, she constantly tried to jump in, but something pushed her back. She paced it, trying different parts of the window entrance, but she couldn't get in without Lola's consent.
