She suddenly heard a loud screech. Lola opened her eyes and watched as an arm jerked around from being crushed by the door.
The elevator doors opened.
Lola watched as the Blood Crawler grabbed the sore arm with its other and actually kneeled before the elevator like a human. Its extra legs seemed almost out of sight.
Lola softly bit her lip as she took little steps forwards and reached for the button again and repressed it. She gulped as the doors closed, cutting off the image of the hurt Blood Crawler. Lola remembered to breathe again as she leaned against the back wall and practically collapsed to the ground in horrified exhaustion.
Lola was almost convinced her heart was still with that Blood Crawler.
When her floor was approaching Lola managed to get to her feet with almost all the problems ever possible.
The doors opened and Lola's knees were leaning on one another so she could stay standing.
Lola stared down the dark hallways; she remembered how Elinor had brought Lola down here to do some tests with that robotic leg guy, Eddie.
But Lola almost didn't walk out of the elevator, all the lights were out down here and Lola couldn't see a thin, everything before her was pitch black except for the elevator she stood in. If anybody was there she'd look like some sort of picture framed person.
It was like a scene out of a movie, and Lola was almost certain this was when the main character dies.
Lola managed to muster the courage, and the will not to throw up, to walk forwards. She was almost surprised she hadn't fallen off some sort of platform.
She stepped into the darkness and was practically swallowed by it.
"Good grief," she mumbled as the doors closed behind her, "what on earth have you gotten yourself into, Lola?" she mumbled to herself as she started digging through her pockets and pulled out a mini torch. She could feel the large rhinestones on the handle of it.
Annika had given it to her.
The light dimly lit a small circle on the floor, which really didn't help but at all. She watched as the circle crawled across the floor and up one of the walls, and she saw a window that led into what looked like a cold room made for dead people.
Lola gulped at the memory of that man's plastic leg and the woman from the first night she got attacked turning into a Dark Angel.
Lola slowly walked down the dark hallway, she felt like she had actually been dropped into a Horror Movie. Her mind started playing tricks on her as imaginary noises haunted her subconscious; she got so scared that she turned the torch off at one point.
But that just freaked her out even more.
She turned the torch back on and continued, she extended her torch to the very end of the hallway; her little circle of light was bordered by the darkness around it. The little light only showed an old cupboard, a mop and bucket and piles of cardboard boxes.
Lola felt her heart skip a beat as she ran over to it and pushed all the boxes aside, each of them empty. She tapped against the bare part of the wall looking for some sort of notch or switch or something.
But the wall was bare.
Lola scanned the wall with her little torch light, and was finally convinced the door must've been behind the cupboard.
It was large and made of thick wood.
Lola looked to the darkness; all she saw was the light that outlined the elevator.
