Did my parents really want me to have a heart attack? My brother had only moved out a day ago into his new place, and now they wanted me to try living with a guy that I had never met just because he would like to study in a college close to my home. Apparently, this random guy wanted to study some course that was not available where he lived so my dad had offered to let him stay here since my dad also worked at the college as a mythology teacher, specialising in Norse mythology. I didn't know why he liked it so much, but it was something that he had grown up with. "Well, Freya, what do you think?"

"Dad, it's nice of you to offer him this opportunity to study here. Just, please, don't make me have to store some of Lucas' stuff. I will, however, help you put it up the attic." I answered. I couldn't really argue with my parents and maybe having another guy here may make me feel like my brother is still here. It would be weird without Lucas. I got up, grabbed my bag and finished my last bite of pop-tart to head off to school. It wasn't the healthiest of breakfasts but it was a nice treat every once in a while. "I've got to go otherwise I'm going to be late. When is he going to be arriving here, anyway?"

"He'll be here when you get home tomorrow. You can help your father put the boxes up the attic when you get home today and I'll clean it while you are both out tomorrow." My mum explained. She patted my dad's shoulder as she walked passed to put the dishes in the sink. "Thor, honey, aren't you cutting it fine?"

"Yes. Thanks for reminding me. I'll see you later. Freya, do you want a ride to school?" My dad offered as he stood up and picked up his briefcase and travel coffee mug that he loved. I really loved the fact that my mum and dad had pet names for each other, even if it was just their middle name. It was confusing if they were called by their first names since they had the male and female version of the same name.

"No thanks, dad. I'll just walk. It's not that far." I replied, heading out the front door while my dad made his coffee to go, and almost bumped into Daniella, my best friend for as long as I could remember. "Good morning, Dani. I didn't know that you'd be waiting for me today."

"Good morning, Freya. What took you so long to get ready?" She questioned as we headed to school. I explained to her about the student who would be staying with us starting tomorrow. She seemed a little freaked out as she heard the whole story. "So, you're going to have a stranger living with you for the next couple of years?"

"Yes, but I'm not really bothered about it. It'll just be like having Lucas back home. The new guy is even going to be staying in Lucas' old room." I told her. Then again, I hadn't even started missing my brother yet. "It might be a little weird since I don't know anything about him, but I will get to know him when he gets here. It'll just take some getting used to while I get to know the new guy."

"You'll be fine." Daniella answered, looping her arm through mine as we walked.

When I got home from school the next day, he was there. He was about eighteen with dark auburn hair. He stood up to meet me, and he was stupidly tall. The most striking thing about him was that he had the most amazing eye colour that seemed to be a burnt orange, sort of like amber. The only word I could think of to describe them was beautiful. He smiled at me, holding out his hand. "Hello, Freya. I am Pawel, but everyone calls me Pav. It is nice to meet you. I have heard much about you from your father."

"It's nice to meet you, too, Pav. I look forward to your stay here." I replied. I reached my hand out to shake his but he placed a kiss on my hand instead, making me blush a little bit. "So, what brings you to this part of the world?"

My family, Pav and I then started talking and totally lost track of time. Pav was a very interesting person with interests in Norse mythology and art. I knew that the college my dad worked for allowed a student to study both of those subjects. This really was like a win-win situation for Pav so it was no wonder that he had wanted to come here to study.
