This wasn't the first time that I'd had to move to a new school during a school year, but I honestly didn't think that I would have to move a month before my GCSE's, and a week before my birthday. I partially couldn't believe that my father had done that to me. The fact that he needed to move around for his job was bad enough, now I had to try and find new friends within a month of school. I probably wasn't going to have any friends for the rest of my school life.

This was going to be awkward. It probably meant that I wasn't going to be doing anything for my birthday. I didn't really mind – I could stay at home and watch movies. Since it was my sixteenth, it would have been nice to do something with the friends that I had made in school.

Even though we were all moved in by the Thursday, mum had decided that I would start at the new school on the Monday, after the weekend, to give me some time to get over the whole move. I was actually glad to have the weekend before meeting people. Thinking about all the times that I had been through a move, I'd expect to be good at it by now. I really wasn't.

Monday morning wasn't so bad. I was introduced to the first class by the teacher and found myself put in a seat next to a very good looking blond guy, which was the only seat left in the classroom. When the blond guy smiled at me, I found it dazzling even though it seemed to be a permanent fixture on his face. "Hi, I'm Noah. It's nice to meet you."

"I'm Isabella. It's nice to meet you, too." I replied, smiling back to him. Then, I started to look over my timetable. Knowing me, by the time I got used to it, the school year would be over. Well, I would be taking the exams. Noah took the timetable from me before I could even have a proper look at it.

"You're in all of my classes, so, just stick with me." Noah explained, looking at my timetable before handing it back to me. I took it quietly. Then he seemed to realise what he had said and he blushed a little bit. "If that's okay with you, of course."

"That would be great, thank you." I answered, smiling up at him. He was so tall, even when sitting down. The bell for the end of the first lesson went and we all stood, the room filling with the sound of chairs scraping on the floor.

"Noah, let's go. We're going to be late for English otherwise." A girl spoke, coming up to us and immediately linking her arm through Noah's. She then seemed to notice me, looking at me with a confused look. I gave her a smile, trying to be friendly. "Who's this?"

"Sienna, this is Isabella. She's the new student. It turns out that she's in all of our classes so I told her that she could stick with us until she gets the hang of things." Noah told her. The two seemed really close – and they seemed to match each other well, like they had always known each other. Maybe they were together – they certainly acted like it. I mean, it's not like I could see if they had a string or anything.

"Oh, it's nice to meet you. This is Troy, Ashley, and Jonah." Sienna replied, gesturing to each of the other three people that were also standing with them. Sienna squeezed Noah's arm, smiling up at him. "Come on, we have to get to lesson. It's this way, Isabella."

I followed the group of them to the next class as they all made small talk. It seemed like the five of them were extremely close and I was a third wheel. Well, a sixth wheel. At least it wasn't as bad as not having any friends at all.

The next few days were spent with me tagging along with the gang and Sienna being glued to Noah. I didn't know why I was feeling jealous of Sienna and I couldn't shake the feeling that she didn't like me. Everyone were all really friendly and didn't mind that I just automatically followed them. Sienna, on the other hand, just seemed to hate me and really didn't want to include me in the conversation, making sure the topics were on stuff that only they all knew about. Noah did try his best to include me, though.
