Paris really was a beautiful place. It was somewhere that I wanted to spend more than just a three day weekend. My sister and I had only been here for a few hours and I already loved the place. We walked around the streets, which were really quiet at this time of year. Next door to our hotel, Tess, my twin sister, spotted a little café with some cute bistro tables outside. We grabbed a seat. "Paris is a beautiful place. Tan, I might actually see if I can talk Perry into coming here for our honeymoon. First, I need to get him to ask me to marry him. We've been together for five years. You'd think he would have asked by now."

"Maybe he just doesn't think that there is a need to get married since you two already have your string." I wondered out loud, taking in the sight of the beautiful city in which we now sat. I didn't really want to be worrying about my sister's wedding when she didn't even think that it was happening. I wasn't going to tell her that Perry had decided on proposing in the middle of the airport when we arrived back on Monday. I needed to change the subject since I could let slip Perry's plans. The only reason I knew was so I could film it for him to have it to remember. "Can we not worry about problems that your relationship doesn't have? Let's just enjoy ourselves in the city of love until we have to face reality when we go home."

"Yes. That sounds like a good idea. I mean, your reality is a bit worse than mine. Has your string appeared yet?" Tessa questioned. When I shook my head, she sighed, picking up one of the drink menu's from the table. I picked up the other one. On the day of our sixteenth birthday, her string had appeared on her finger. Mine had yet to appear. I had just turned twenty-one. It seemed like it would be impossible. I read through the menu, glad that I had practised French through school and since then. "I cannot read a word of this. I think I'll just have a cappuccino, but I wouldn't mind something with a bit of a zing."

"Well, it says here that this one has an orange taste. It's just a cappuccino with an orange after taste." I explained, looking through the menu for something that I felt like drinking. I found some hot chocolate with a hint of mint. It sounded nice. I continued searching, telling Tess about any that would suit her tastes. She decided on just having the first one that I had mentioned. A waiter came out of the door to the café, heading straight to our table. "Bonjour."

"Bonjour, Madame's." He spoke, a deep voice resonating from his throat. He looked a little older than me, but I had never really been good at guessing ages. He was attractive, too. He probably had a string already. "Que pais-je faire pour vous?"

"Nous aurons un moka à la menthe et un cappuccino orange, se il vous plait." I replied, wondering if I had selected the correct words and pronounced them correctly. I had always worried in lessons, but my French born teacher had told me that I was okay.

"Coming right up. Good translations and pronunciation, by the way." He answered, scribbling it down on his notebook and heading back into the café. I was surprised that he had begun speaking English to us, and wondered how he had known that we were not natives since he hadn't heard us, but, for some unknown reason, Tessa and I laughed at what had just happened.

"Well, that surprised me. You had said it so well, too." Tessa laughed. She tidied up the table by putting the menus back the way they had been when we had got here. "He must have just realised it. It's probably a French thing."

"It must be." I added.

"He was cute, though." Tess noted, leaning a little closer to me. A strand of her chestnut brown hair fell in her face. "I mean, tall, lean, probably has a bit of muscle. He has black hair, gorgeous blue eyes, and a very attractive face. I wonder if he has a string yet. He looks to be about our age."

"It's not our business. Besides, you have Perry." I told her.

"Not for me. For you." Tess explained.
