The next morning came. It was a Saturday and it was just Maven and me at the house. I was washing some dishes when Maven went up to me. "Hey. Are you feeling okay now?" He asked.

"Yeah, I just needed to clear my mind," I answer simply.

"Oh." I could feel him wanting to say more but he couldn't find the words to say. "Mia, listen, I- I didn't want to keep secrets from you. It's just that-"

I stopped him midway, "Maven it's alright. You don't have to explain anything. It's been done anyway."

"No. Please hear me out.-"

"Maven, please. Let's not talk about this. My heart's already grieving enough. Can't you let this one slide?" I've slightly raised my voice, and I felt guilty for that. But I didn't take it back.

Just then the doorbell rang. "I'll get it." Maven volunteered, his head hang low.

"Where's Mia?" I heard a familiar voice of a girl and a grunt of a boy.

"She's fine." I heard their footsteps coming closer to where I am. "Alessia came.. again, to check on you." Maven boringly announced.

"Alessia's here... again." Alex came with Alessia following suit.

I felt my head starting to hurt again.

"I was worried, okay? Can't I visit her?" Alessia came into view and regarded me, "Hey Mia, has Maven been taking care of you? 'Cause I can seriously take his place if he isn't."

"What? Can't I visit this house?" Alessia argued then turned to me. "Hey Mia, has my brother been treating you good? 'Cause he's seriously going to get it if he isn't." I laughed at her admiring their closeness.

I looked at Alessia, trying to fight the pounding in my head. Her eyes. I knew they looked familiar for a reason...

It's because I've seen it on someone else before. From Dr. James.. from Alex.. from her brother.

Alessia might have noticed my discomfort because she had her eyes wide and quickly ran to my side.

"Mia, are you okay? Does your head hurt again?" She asked worriedly.

"Can you help me to my room?" I requested.

"Of course. Let's get you up." She assisted me to stand and slowly walked up to my room.

"Do you guys need help?" Maven asked.

"No, it's fine. I'll help her." Alessia answered, and we leave Maven.

"You want to drink some pain reliever?" Alessia asked me as soon I sat on the bed.

"No, it's fine. Anyway, what brought you here?"

"I just came to check on you. I heard what happened the other day." Her voice faded at her last sentence. I can sense she's testing the waters.

"Yeah." I didn't want her to think I'm mad at her. I feel like I need her close to me if want to find out some truth. "I don't really want to talk about that. I hope you understand. It's a very sensitive topic." I smiled at her half-heartedly.

"Yes, of course." She nodded obediently.

My eyes traveled the room trying to think of a new topic. Then my eyes landed on my phone.

"Hey, remember when I asked some help with my phone? I still haven't actually figured it out. I was thinking.. maybe you know someone who can open it?" I asked her, and I saw her think about it. "But I don't want to delete the files you know, like the emails and contacts."

I was hoping she'd be smart enough to ask Alex for help. Maybe he knows the passcode of my phone. That way I can open it without actually reformatting it.

"Hmm, I think there is someone who can help." I looked at her with glee.

"Really? That would be great then! I'm really going to be needing it for work, I kinda need it asap." I tried to reason.

"Oh, you're going back to work?"

"Yup."

"Well, then that's great! I can fetch you here if you'd like. My office is just two blocks away from yours." She sounded so excited but I can feel that underneath her enthusiasm is that she's trying to keep an eye on me.

"But wouldn't it be a bother for you?"

"No! Of course not. It's okay. Plus we can go out after work!"

"I'd like the sound of that."

"It's settled then. I'm gonna fetch you every day and we are going to have hangouts."

A voice disturbed my sleep. I haven't even realized I've fallen into slumber.

"I don't think she remembers anything." I heard Alessia speak softly.

I tried to slightly open my eyes but didn't move. It's a good thing the room is a bit dim. I saw her standing by the window with her phone on her ear.

"...If she'd known something I think she would have asked or confronted any of us. Especially you. But she's not even mad, Alex...

"...All she knows is about the baby and that she's married. I don't think she realizes who she's married...

"...You don't have to tell me that. By the way, don't forget to send me the passcode to her phone so she can open it, okay? Alright, bye."

After a few seconds, I heard her receive a notification. I followed her actions and saw that she'd taken my phone. It only took a few taps when I saw a smile creep on her lips. She'd finally opened the damn phone.

By afternoon, Alessia had to leave. "Thanks for letting me stay. Anyway, since you've already unlocked your phone, text me okay?" Alessia waved at me as she makes her leave.

"I will. Take care." I said, waving back.

I went back to my room and quickly examined my phone. I opened the messages first and searched for my conversation with Alex.. but I couldn't find his name. I tried searching his name on the contacts but he wasn't there either.

Looks like Alessia has deleted him on my list.

I tried to scan the gallery but there weren't much either. I guess I'm not one for taking a lot of pictures. There were mostly sceneries, landscapes and few pictures with Maven and Alessia only.

Well shit. That was a waste.
