A/N:
Been busy, but I was able to make a few chapters. I hope you like it.

"Think about it. Then call me." Mia said, making it clear that the offer still stands. She walks away, going to Alex's car. Maven saw Alex, before leaving Alex waved a hand at him which the younger returned. Maven was happy to see his sister back with him again.

Mia and Alex were back at their house arranging the things they've bought from the grocery.
"I saw you talk to Maven earlier." Alex started the conversation.
Mia only hummed as a reaction, continuing to stack some supplies at the cupboard.
"How is he?" Alex asked, sincerely concerned for Maven. Alex knows about what happened during Maven's birthday from Alessia.
"Fine, I guess. I haven't been in contact with them, so I really don't know." Mia answered with a quiet voice. She now feels guilty for not calling Maven. He needed someone too, but all she focused on was herself.
"I've talked to him a few times. I was worried when I heard what happened during his birthday. But he actually claimed to be at fault. He's grown up now, owning up his mistakes." Alex supplied some news thinking it would be good for Mia.
"He is, and for that, I hope he makes a good decision," Mia mumbled to herself, hoping Maven would accept her offer of staying in her apartment, thinking it would be better for Maven to leave the house.

Mia just got off from work. As she walks to the exit of the lobby, she saw a familiar car waiting for her outside. She smiles as she gets closer to the vehicle.
Seeing Mia getting closer, Alex gets off the car to greet Mia.
"Didn't I told you not to wait for me anymore? It's already late." Mia nagged but with a smile on her face.
"Exactly why I waited for you," Alex answered, leaving a light kiss on her forehead. He opened the door to the passenger seat and let her inside.
They filled each other in with how their day went with their hands clasped. They were back to their usual, sweet relationship, making up for their lost time.
"My colleague came back from Italy and gave this bottle of wine," Alex said after parking the car to their garage and stretching back to grab something from the back seat.
"And?" Mia asked with a slight smile knowing where this conversation is heading.
"And I wanna share it with you tonight," Alex answered, opening his car door.
They walk their way to their minibar. Alex grabbed two wine glasses while Mia drops her things.
After opening the bottle, Alex pours on both glass, handing one to Mia.
"Thank you, Sir," Mia joked as she takes it.
The whole night they talked and laughed, humoring each other by dancing to their imaginary music. Mia was wrapped in Alex's arms as they sway side to side. She listened to his heartbeat with eyes closed. For the first time in while she felt peaceful.
Mia looked up to him. Her line of vision traveling from his eyes, down to his lips, diving in.
They shared a short, gentle, passionate kiss before Mia pulled away whispering an, "I love you."
Alex smiled, cupping her cheeks. "I love you too," he answered back, continuing their kiss earlier.
They could still taste the wine through each other's lips. He pulled her closer, his hands now placed on her waist. Mia gasped, surprised when Alex lifted her suddenly, Mia wrapped her arms on his neck as he placed her on a high stool. Mia pulled back, hitting his arm lightly from the shock in which he only laughed, kissing her again, invading her mouth with his tongue. His hand traveled to her thigh, wrapping her legs to his waist, making her skirt climb up.
Mia's hands were anything, but still either. Her right-hand combs his hair in many directions as she tugs on it. Her left-hand travels from his cheek to his neck to his arm.
His lips left hers, tracing her jaw to her neck, kissing and marking her skin. She exhaled in satisfaction, tilting her head, giving him better access.

The next morning Mia woke up first. She found both of them sleeping on the sofa in their living room. Remembering last night, she smiled to herself, looking at the man next to her who was still sleeping soundly. She got up and climbed upstairs to change into comfortable clothes, her current ones are all crumpled up as she slept in it last night. She decided to make some breakfast for her and Alex. As she prepares the food, she checks her phone for messages in between, and a certain name catches her Attention.
Maven
Can we talk today?
She felt her heart beat fast. She was suddenly nervous, still, she typed a response and sent an 'Okay, I'll meet you after lunch.'
Mia went back to cooking. She was almost finished when she heard footsteps nearing to where she is.
"Good morning," she greeted her husband. She laughed lightly at his morning face. With disheveled hair and sleepy eyes, Alex greeted her back, "Good morning."
"Go get changed first. Breakfast is almost done."
"Okay," Alex obliged to her like a kid which made Mia laugh again.
She placed the omelet and sausages in a plate, transferred the fried rice in a bowl and poured hot water in a mug to make some coffee.
Everything was set when Alex came back. He sat by the chair next to Mia and kissed her temple.
"Did you brush your teeth?" Mia teased.
"No."
"Then don't kiss me yet."
"What? We're going to eat breakfast anyway," he countered as he placed some food on his plate.
"Because you didn't last night."
"Yeah, because you didn't let go of me last night." Mia rolled her eyes at him comically, "Did you brush your teeth?" Alex threw the question back at her.
"I did! This morning." Mia defended.
"Then you could kiss me."
Mia looked back at him like he's some weird creature she'd just seen, which he laughed at, "You are so full of yourself today."
They continued teasing each other through their meal. When they were finished, Alex stood up and gathered their plates to wash the dishes.
"I'm going to meet Maven later after lunch," Mia informed, "So I won't be around this afternoon."
"Oh.." Alex trailed off, "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah. We're just going to.. catch up." Mia answered, her voice fading as the sentence end.
She could feel the atmosphere changing so she didn't want to linger on the subject before it leads to her whole family.
"You cook lunch later, I already cooked breakfast." She tried to sound bright.
"Hmm, we'll see," Alex answered with mischief.
"There's no 'we'll see' in this Dr. James, you're going to cook lunch period."
"This is why they say I'm a battered husband."
"Hey! I am not violent."
