"They said she'll be discharged by this week." I heard Maven's soft voice. I wanted to open my eyes, but my lids felt too heavy. The shot is still on effect.
"But she's still having attacks! That's crazy!" Alessia countered.
"Will you lower your voice down? You'll wake her up!" Maven whispered but spoke with emphasis. He sighed before starting again, "They said the attacks would continue whenever she remembers something, and we're not sure how long that will happen. We can't just make her stay at the hospital, it could take forever. Our parents will be coming to pick her up tomorrow. Mom already prepared her room."
"Wait, what?" Alessia's voice was getting louder again. "She's staying in your place?"
"Obviously. It's what dad wants." Maven answered defeated.
"That's unfair! Why does he always gets to decide? What about Alex?!" Alessia argued like she was about to cry.
"Quiet down will you?" Maven sighed. "Alex already agreed with this. It's not like he has a say on this either."
"He does. But he always chooses to yield to your dad." It was Alessia's turn to sound defeated, "If Mia knew, she would never agree to this."
"Well, she doesn't.. She's the only one who can stand up for herself.. but she can't remember anything."

I didn't try to stand up that night. I didn't eat. I just laid in bed pretending to sleep until morning came.
I kept thinking about Maven and Alessia's conversation last night, I felt like they were hiding something from me. And the guy that came to visit, by any chance, is he.. is he Alex? I tried to remember so hard but I got nothing. The flashbacks just come suddenly whenever something similar to my memories happen.
I heard a phone ring and Maven answered, "Hello?... Okay, see you there." I heard him stand up, "Alessia, they're coming here. Come on."
"Wait, what about Mia? Aren't we going to-?"
"We're going to ask someone else to do it, come on, quick!" Maven demanded, as he was already outside the room.
When I was sure Maven and Alessia has left the room, I sat on the bed and stared into thin air.
Suddenly, I felt like they were purposely keeping me in the dark. Come to think of it, nobody has ever explained to me about the accident. Anger is slowly creeping into me now. I was in my weakest state, and somehow, they are using it to their advantage. Just what are they hiding from me?
"Good morning, Dear." My train of thoughts were disturbed when someone came in my room.
"Dr. Montes." I called his name out of surprise.
"You're going home now. Feel excited?" He asked.
"Yeah, sure." Was the most natural response I could think of.
Dr. Montes chuckled, "You don't seem so happy." Wow, he was observant (note sarcasm).
"I have grown fond of this hospital. I'd hate to leave this place." I joked, and we both laugh.
"What's wrong, really?" He asked. For a moment I want to vent out all my frustrations. But I know he won't be able to help me, so instead, I asked him..
"What would you do if you were in my situation?"
He stared at me, with his forehead creased. "What do you mean?" He asked back.
"Like... how would you react? Would you make an effort to get your memories back? You think it's worth it?" I said without looking at him.
"I think... it would be worth it."
