Something Important. Chapter 22

"Who's in there? I'm not playing games, I'll call the cops!" Sky was terrified.

Jeffrey popped out of the bushes.

"Why can't you just leave me alone?" Sky asked.

"Do you want me to leave you alone, or fight for us?"

"Both."

"Well you're getting the second choice" He grabbed her and carried her all the way back to her house. In her backyard there set up, were a bunch of lanterns that said "ily" in cursive, a blanket with a bunch of flower petals surrounding it, big white sheet hanging over the fence with a projector facing towards it.

"Jeffrey.."

"You told me to fight for us so I am. You don't know how sorry I am. I wish I could redo this whole day. I love you, Skylar. I don't know what I would do without you."

"I-I don't know what to say."

"You don't have to say anything." And he kissed her.

"Thank you so much, Jeffrey. You're the best boyfriend in the world."

"I'd do anything for you."

She gave him a small peck on his lips.

They put in the movie, The Fault in Our Stars, and watched it. It was Sky's favorite movie. She laid her head on top of his chest and listened to his heart beat. After the movie, they just laid there and talk.

"Last week of school then we can spend our whole summer together!"

"About that..."

"What?"

"So you know how I was entered to open for the Jack and Jack concert?"

"Yeah?"

"I won!"

"So you're gonna be gone for a week?"

"I'll be gone for two months."

"What? That's the whole summer!" Her eyes started to water.

"I know. But it's not all for the opening of Jack and Jack. I'm visiting my family too. For a reunion type thing."

"Oh. Two whole months without seeing you.."

"We can skype and text"

"But we can't hug, kiss or cuddle."

"I know.. I'm sorry."

"How far away from Boston is it?"

"It's in Cali."

"Oh. So across the country, then.."

"Yeah. I wish you could come!"

"I wish I could too.."

"Let's just stop talking about this right now."

"Okay. I'm tired. I'm gonna go to sleep."

"Okay. Sweet dreams, beautiful."

"Love you"

"Love you too" they kissed each other and Sky laid her head back on his chest. After he was sure that Sky was asleep, he slipped her ring back on her finger and fell asleep.

The next morning was Sunday. Jeffrey thought it would be funny to take a picture if Sky sleeping and post it on Instagram, snapchat and twitter.

He looked on what was trending on twitter and the third one was #wheresjarah

"Me and Sara are NOT dating. I'm dating my beautiful, smart, funny, loving girlfriend, Skylar Smith." Jeffrey posted that on Twitter.

Skylar's parents came outside to tell Jeffrey that they were leaving for work and both would be working overtime and won't be home till eleven at night so there's money on the counter for pizza or whatever.

Jeffrey got up and went inside to make breakfast five minutes later. He wasn't the best cook in the world, but his food was still edible. He made eggs. The were a little burnt but whatever.

"What are you burning? Sky walked through the door.

"I'm trying to make eggs!"

"Oh. Eggs are like the easiest thing to make!" She hugged him from behind.

"No. Mac and cheese is!"

"Whatever!"

"What do you wanna do today? Anything you want."

"Anything?"

"Anything."

"Let's run away so you don't have to leave me for two months!"

"Babe.."

Sky just looked down with tears in her eyes.

"You know how bad I wanted to open for them." He said hugging her.

"I k-know." She was holding in her tears.

"Don't cry! I'll see you when I get back in August."

"I'll just miss you too much."

"And I'll miss you too but I'll be back home before you know it."

"Okay."

"Okay." (Omg tfios moment😭)

"I'm going to take a shower."

"You don't want any of my eggs?"

Sky just laughed as she walked in the bathroom.

Five minutes later Jeffrey's mom texted him to come home to talk. So he left Sky a note.

To my baby girl, my mom needed to talk to me about something, come over when you're ready☺️❤️

As soon as he walked through the door, he sat next to his mom on the couch.

"I need to tell you something really important.."

"Okay? What is it?"
