Secrets Chapter 23

"So you know how were going to California in July for the family reunion?"

"Yeah?"

"Instead of coming back the first week in August, it'll be the last week of August"

"Mom.. I don't know if I can stay down there for that long. I'll only be able to see Sky one day out of our whole summer break. I'll miss her too much."

"Well I mean I guess we could take her if she means that much to you."

"Really!?"

"Yes! Only if her parents don't mind."

"Thank you so much, mom!"

"You're welcome."

"I'm going to take a shower. If Sky comes over while I'm still in there, send her to my room and don't mention anything about letting her go with us. I wanna tell her myself!"

"Okay!"

Literally like a minute after Jeffrey got in the shower, Sky showed up.

"Hey, Amber!"

"Hi, Skylar. Jeffrey's in the shower but feel free to go to his room."

"Okay, thanks!"

"Your parents just called, they want to get together for dinner tomorrow."

"Okay! Cool!"

Jeffrey got out of the shower.

"Sky! I need to tell you some-"

"Jeffrey can I talk to you real quick" His mom cut him off.

"Yeah?"

"Come outside."

They walk out the front door. All Jeffrey has on is his towel.

"I suggest you tell Sky about coming with us tomorrow while we have dinner with her family."

"Oh okay."

Jeffrey went back inside.

"What was your mom talking to you about?"

"You'll see tomorrow!" He said while putting on his clothes.

"Okay fine."

"That was easy?"

"And it'll be easy to not give you hugs and kisses until you tell me!" She said grinning.

"Not fair!" He said grabbing her.

"So fair!" she squirmed out of his arms.

He just groaned. They cleaned the whole house which took about two hours. Sky kept teasing him about not being able to hug and kiss her the whole time.

"Lets order pizza." Sky changed the subject

"Okay..."

"Babe, please don't act like this all night."

Jeffrey just pouted his lips.

She grabbed his hand and went back to her house.

"What kind of pizza do you want, Logan?"

"Pepperoni."

"What about you, Jeffrey?"

"Pepperoni..." He mumbled.

"Stop acting like this, Jeffrey! You'll live!" Sky said getting annoyed.

"No I won't."

"How are you gonna live without being able to hug and kiss me for two months?"

"I don't know. If I tell you what my mom told me, can I have my hugs, kisses and cuddles back?"

"Yeah! I already told you that if you told me, I'd hug and kiss you."

"Okay. So my mom was telling me that instead of leaving the first week of August and coming back here, were staying there until the end of August."

"W-what?" She started tearing up again.

"It's okay!" He hugged her for comfort.

"N-no it's not J-Jeffrey" she started crying.

"Logan, can you order the pizza please." Jeffrey asked handing him the phone.

Logan ordered the pizza and went to his room.

When d-do you l-leave?" Sky stuttered

"Thursday"

Sky didn't say anything. Jeffrey picked her up bridal style and carried her to her bed. He laid down with her and wrapped her arms around her. She buried her head in his chest, still sobbing. Thirty minutes later, the pizza came. Sky was sleeping so Jeffrey slickly slid out from her bed, grabbed his money and payed for the pizza. He walked down to his brothers room to tell him the pizza was ready. He walked back upstairs to check on Sky, but she was still sleeping. She was so cute when she was asleep so he didn't wake her up. He went back downstairs to eat pizza with her brother.

"Why was Skylar crying?"

"Because I won't see her the whole summer."

"Why?"

"Well I have to go on the Digi tour for Jack and Jack and that'll be a month and then I'm going down to California for a family reunion and won't be back till the last week of summer."

"Oh. That sucks."

"Yeah."

Logan didn't say anything.

"Logan?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you think your parents would let Sky come with me to California for a month and a half?"

"Yeah probably, why?"

"Can you keep a secret?"

"Yeah."

"My mom said I could take Sky to Cali with me if it's okay with your parents."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"You really love her don't you."

"Yeah. I do." He said looking at his promise ring.

"I know that she loves you a lot too. Don't break her heart. She's fragile"

"I won't."

"Good. Because I'll beat you up if you do!"

"Dude, you're like going into seventh grade!" He said laughing.

"And you're going into eighth! That's not even that much of an age difference. I play a tough sport like hockey and you play a sissy sport like soccer. Sheesh, even volleyball is tougher!" Logan started laughing too.

"Soccer is not a sissy sport! Baseball, tennis and golf is!"

"That's actually true. I'll give you credit!"

"Yeah."

They both stopped talking and started eating their pizza again. After Jeffrey finished, he went back upstairs to Sky's room and went back to cuddling with her. He fell asleep ten minutes later.
