rosey was completely immersed in her own world. her hands were grabbing snacks from her bin beneath the table, which she ate one by one while waiting for the next fan.
her fansites worked hard to get her attention, and while she would wave and look around, it was difficult to get her to focus on one camera at a time. however, the photos obtained by rosey's fansites were still fantastic.
rosey was about to pop another small snack into her mouth when she was startled by the fan who had taken a seat roughly in front of her.
the snack fell onto rosey's lap as a result of the idol's initial shake. her hand pushed it way from her clothes as her gaze remained fixed on the girl across the table.
the other members were watching the mishap, but fans had yet to learn what was going on. the clicking of cameras, the noise of voices further away from the idols, and the lights from the cameras were all in the background.
rosey assumed the girl was having a bad day and gave her the benefit of the doubt. her hands opened the album and she slowly flipped through the pages until she found her own.
"do you have the—" rosey asked softly.
the alleged fan threw the missing photocard onto the table. the way she threw it, it completely missed the table and smacked rosey on the cheek.
everyone as now watching.
rosey was embarrassed when she realized that all of the noise had stopped and that all the eyes in the room were focused on her. her cheeks had turned red and her right cheek was almost burning.
the fan didn't keep it a secret that she didn't like this member; she made it abundantly clear. the girl with her arms crossed and an attitude let out a huff.
throwing such things at the idol in front of her didn't help her situation. security arrived and led the older fan to the next room. her unsigned album and photocards were taken and not returned.
jeongin, who sat on her right side, rested his hand on her shoulder. rosey's eyes were filled with sadness as she looked over at him.
"are you alright?" jeongin inquired, "you're bleeding a little."
she brought her hand up to her face, feeling the scratch. a small spot of blood was visible on her fingers as she drew her hand away. she sighed and replied in hushed tones.
"it's just a small scratch; i'll be fine." she lied.
physically, it wouldn't hurt her forever, but mentally, it was painful. she wanted to burst into tears right then and there. it was her first real encounter with a snobbish fan.
she is used to anonymous messages telling her she isn't good enough, which she had built a strong defense against. it was new to encounter a fan who could physically harm her with no remorse.
she didn't want to tell her boyfriend how she truly felt for fear of distracting him for the rest of the fanmeet. she didn't want to ruin anyone's good times.
she became happier with the kind words spoken to her after another hour of meeting numerous fans. by the end of the event, her eyes were wide and her smile was bright.
after such a horrible situation, she was full of laughter and happiness.
