I took a shower and decided to wear my wine red colored off-the-shoulder, knee length, v-neck dress. I choose silver pumps and a silver clutch. I put on my signature look, the no-makeup makeup look. Then I curled my hair and pinned the right side away from my face. I asked down the stairs and called to the house, "I'm going out now!" And went on the porch to wait for Brian.
"Wow! You clean up real nice," he said when he picked me up.
"You, too." He was wearing a nice white shirt, a tie that matched my dress, black pants, and shiny black shoes.
*********
"So..." I started as Brian and I ate our Chinese food. "What're we gonna do in an hour when we're hungry again?"
Brian laughed. "You like ice cream?"
"Who doesn't?"
Brian smiled. "We'll get ice cream."
"Just so you know, I gotta be home by eleven."
"Eleven?"
"Mmhmm. If I'm not, my parents'll freak."
"Why?"
"They don't think I should be dating. But they let me." I ate the last of my sweet and sour chicken.
"That'll be ten dollars." The waitress said.
"Ten dollars?" Brian opened his wallet. "Uh, Becky? Got any money?"
I looked in my purse. "All I Have is lipstick."
"You didn't bring any money?"
"You're supposed to be paying!"
Suddenly, someone came up to us. "I'm sorry. I couldn't help but over hear, but you don't have ten bucks?"
I smiled widely and blushed a little. It was Jesse. "No."
"Oh. I got a ten spot." He dug out a ten and gave it to the waitress.
"Thank you!" I felt my cheeks get hotter.
"I'm there for ya, babe." He clicked his tongue and pointed a finger in my direction.
I smiled as my cheeks were a blaze.
"Come on, Becky. Let's go to my place." Brian stood up.
We walked to his house; he grabbed my hand and took me to the back of his house. "We can climb up this tree and into the third window."
"Can't we use the front door?"
"Nah. More fun this way." Brian picked me up and said, "grab onto that branch and hoist yourself up. You ready?"
I grabbed the branch. "Yes."
I pulled myself up in my dress. I stood on the branch and watched Brian come up.
"Keep climbing. I'm behind you."
I did as I was told, reaching the right branch fairly quickly.
"Wow. Where'd you learn to climb like that?"
"I have five brothers. You gotta escape some where quiet."
Brian jumped through the window and helped me in.
"Thank you. Now what?"
"Well, it's almost nine. Wanna play a game?"
"Sure. What game?"
Brian went to a messy shelf and pulled out a game. "Twister!!"
I smiled and shrugged. "Okay!"
We played for quite a while. I was winning by two. Then we were tied, and it was 10:10.
"Okay, Becky. Left hand red."
"Left hand red..." the way we were was that Brian was under me and I was on top, not thinking about the fact he could see down my v-neck. I stretched out my arm towards a red, but slipped and we fell to the ground.
We laughed and I pushed myself up, realizing I was on top of Brian. We laughed a little bit less than before. And then it stopped and our cheeks grew red.
And then it happened.
