Jesse and I arrived at the dance, along with Joe and Helen.
"Wanna dance first? Or get some snacks?" Jesse asked me.
"Let's get some punch." We walked over to the punch bowl, meeting DJ and Steve. "Hi!"
"Hey. You should try these fried loopy things. They're really good." Steve handed me one.
I chewed it thoughtfully, deciding what it was. "Mmm! Calamari!"
"Is that what it is?" Jesse asked, a disgusted look on his face.
"Yup! And Steve's right; it's really good!"
"Hey! 'Becca!" A bully, who had been eyeing me and getting on my nerves all year long, called out.
"Listen, bub. The name's Rebecca!" I told him, annoyed.
"How bout you and me getting down with our bad selves?"
"Go suck an egg."
"Ooh. Feisty. I like that."
"Hey! Back off man! She's with me!" Jesse was about to push him.
"Nobody talks to me like that.... and gets away with it!"
"Stop it, Roy! Stop it, both of you! I'm here with Jesse and that's that!" I grabbed Jesse's wrist and led his to the dance floor. "Sorry about that. He's been hitting on me since school started."
"Why didn't you say anything?"
"Because we didn't know each other, and we weren't sorta seeing each other."
"But now we are."
I shook my head. "I doesn't matter. What matters now is you, and me, and this romantic music."
Jesse smiled, leaning in for a kiss. I was about to give it to him, when Roy grabbed me.
"Different partners!" Roy held me close, so I couldn't move.
I could smell his cheap cologne, hair gel, and his sweat. "Roy! Let go! Of me!" I struggled.
"No! We're gonna dance and you're gonna like it." He snarled and held me closer.
"Hey!" Jesse yelled. "Get your d_ _ _ hands off her!" He came up to him, but Roy just punched him squarely in the eye, catching Jesse off guard and sending him to the ground.
"Roy! Let go of me!"
Jesse was up and ready to fight, but Roy said, "if you try to take her away again, I will permanently damage that face of yours."
"Just listen to him, Jess! I'll be okay!" I lied; I just didn't want to see Jesse get hurt.
"Fine. But I'll be watching you." Jesse walked over to the corner, his arms crossed, with the meanest, dirtiest look on his face.
I gulped as I felt Roy's hands travel lower. They were resting right above my bottom, threatening to go lower. "Roy, please!"
"Please what?" He grabbed my bottom, pulling me in so close, I could feel his breath on me.
I struggled to break free, resulting in Roy holding me tighter. I looked around for Jesse, but I didn't see him.
"Come on," Roy said, leading me to the hallway. "Let's get outta here."
My heart started pounding faster than it already was. "I'd rather stay here, thank you."
"Too bad. You don't get a choice." He led me to the hall, his grip on my wrist very tight.
"Roy! Stop it!" I tried to break free, but he pinned me to the wall, my face hitting the brick, sending pain throughout my body.
"I've wanted you ever since I laid eyes on you. Now, I'll get my wish."
He nibbled my ear very hard, causing it to bleed. His grip on my wrists were so tight, bruises were sure to show up. Roy pressed against me, making my heart pound so fast, I couldn't here what was going on. He bit my neck, actually biting instead of lovingly biting, like Jesse was starting to do to me. Roy pinned me against the wall with his very overweight body. He tore at the straps of my dress, and ripped the zipper open. Out of fear and pain, I started crying. I didn't care who, I just wanted someone- anyone- to stop Roy.
