i'm gonna be honest, my birthday was going pretty dang good. throughout the whole school day, people were giving me birthday wishes and i've never had at least one person actually tell me happy birthday in the past years. it feels...nice. during lunch hayden kept planning out afterschool 'birthday plans'. i just laughed and agreed along with him. i just let him know i don't like fancy places nor doing such fancy things. i'm not that kind of person. i'm more of a stay at home and be wrapped up in blankets watching movies. and that's what i told him.
school ended and hayden gave me a ride home. i hugged him again before entering my house as a 'thank you for everything' type of thing.
"so anns, ready to get your birthday fully started?!" "as much fun that sounds, i told you i really prefer just staying here with you watching movies" "c'mon, we can do that other day! i have a full day planned out today!" "fine. as much as i love this dress, it's lowkey uncomfortable having it on for this long. maybe it's because i never wear dresses" he chuckles "so please, don't get offended or anything but i'm go change out of this" "as long as you're comfortable" i smile at him as i go up to my room and change also redoing my hair, putting it up into a messy cute bun and pulling out two strands of hair on the sides.

"you look amazing as always. and...hay?" he lets out a small laugh "a cute nickname" "for a cute boy?" he smirks at me "don't flatter yourself too much" i laugh "well, you ready?" "ready as i'll ever be" we smile at each other as we head out to hayden's car
