Only Mine

The new roommate

Sanyukta stood awkwardly avoiding meeting curious eyes around her, then started leaving in an opposite direction only to meet with Sahil after few steps.

As she tried to walk past him, he started speaking halting her steps.

"uh sanyukta.? "

"Haan.? "

She turned around to face him.

"Tum thik ho.? "

"huh?  Haan. Mujhe Kya hua hai.? "

She asked taking a look at herself.

"tum thodi nervous lag rahi ho, aur ye tumhara gaal (cheek)  laal hogaya hai.

Is everything alright.? "

Sanyukta's hand flew to her cheek, rubbing it slowly to get rid of the redness, en looked here and there avoiding looking at him.

"Nahi. Umm.. Kuch nahi.

Thand Jyada pad rahi hai na, sayad issliye. "

Sahil watched her intently, when his gaze fell on Randhir's back at the other end of the hall, and something clicked his mind.

"Haan aaj kal badhta hi jaa raha hai... Thand.

You take care. "

Giving her a smile sahil went away, hence she let out a huff gulping down the embarrassment.

"itna kyun soch rahi hai sanyukta?

Vo har dusre ladki ko aese bolta rehta hai.

Don't take him seriously. "

She murmured to herself, before making her way towards the hostel.

There Randhir entered his dorm with a smile still on his lips, but it took hardly a second to drop the smile ,as soon as his eyes fell on Parth there chitchatting with Jiggy.

"Arey Randhir bhai, mai toh jaa raha hun per achha hua apko roommate mil gaya. "

Jiggy chirped on noticing him, earning an internal groan from Randhir.

"tu kitne baje jaa raha hai.? "

He asked approaching his study table.

"1 ghante me train hai, toh abhi nikalna padega, agar raaste me traffic mil gaya toh kahin mera train na chhut jaaye. "

Came jiggy's instant reply.

"hmm.. "

Randhir hummed nodding in understanding.

"wese Jiggy tum jaa kyun rahe ho?

Competition me bhi part ni liya tumne. "

Parth questioned interrupting their conversation.

"vo actually papa ka operation hone wala hai, aur mera wahan rehna jaruri hai issliye. "

"oh. "

"Jiggy, agar Kuch jarurat ho toh call Karna, aur operation khatam hote hi bhi. "

Randhir spoke patting his shoulder.

"Arey Randhir bhai Pata hai mujhe, thanks by the way. "

Jiggy half hugged him, before leaving the dorm with his bag.

"Jiggy toh abhi Kuch dino ke liye nahi hai, toh yahan bas hum dono. "

Parth spoke, while Randhir focused back in the book he was reading.

"wese mujhe ye room bahut achha laga.

Punching bag bhi hai, soch raha hun mai bhi exercise start kardun. "
