"You seem tired and depressed."
She turned her eyes to the leaner man with dark hair, the one with the alluring presence, and he gave her a small smile. Something about him made her feel comforted.
"I'm Darren," He said, "I'm the..." He paused, musing, then smiled, "doctor around here."
"Nice to meet you," She said.
Darren seemed to be examining her, "You look like you are ready to collapse."
"Exactly why she needs to go sit down," Fox stated.
"I'm fine, really," She tried to defend herself.
"I don't believe that," Cassius chirped, eyes amused, "Come on, Kiki, let's go get you checked out and settled in!"
She frowned, "Kiki?"
"Yeah," Cassius winked, "You said your name was Mikica, so I'm giving you the nickname Kiki."
"Sounds like Kiwi," She wrinkled her nose, "Most everyone calls me Miki."
Cassius' eyes lit up, "Kiwi! Why didn't I think of that? Its even better!"
"Okay," She mumbled, unsurely.
"Like I said, ignore him," Darren rolled his eyes, "Now that you've met the biggest goof of the century, let's head to my office, shall we?"
"Rude." Cassius pouted.
She glanced over her shoulder at Fox, his face had become serious as he started talking to Leroy, and then she turned her attention to the large mansion Darren was leading her towards. Cassius was right at her side, grinning, and she was surprised her wolves let him get so close that easily - especially Skeet after what he had done this morning.
She entered the mansion and was surprised to find it very average with welcoming, soft colors on the walls and a pine scent that lingered like a burning candle. Of course, she was sure no home could rival Reeve's rugged one. Though, she quickly brushed the thought off.
"Where are we going?" She asked, following Darren down a hallway.
"To infinity and beyond!" Cassius sung.
She rolled her eyes, "Okay, Woody. Is it Pizza Planet, then?"
Cassius glanced over at her, eyes narrowing, "Does Woody say to infinity and beyond?"
"Well, no."
"Then I'm Buzz Lightyear," Cassius brightened again, "And no, I wish Darren's office was Pizza Planet, though. I could kill for some sugar right now."
