"Its my toast, I put it in the toaster." Cassius growled.

"Well its mine now, so go cry about it." Reeve snapped.

Cassius grabbed the plate holding the two pieces of toast and almost simultaneously Reeve grabbed the other side of the plate. The two glared at each other and she slowly watched their fingers tighten in stubbornness, silently trying to get the other to let go. In all her life, she had never seen anything more ridiculous. They battled wordlessly, jerking on the plate against each other a few times, and then Leroy let out an incredibly loud sigh.

Leroy stood up from the stool he had been previously enjoying his coffee on and he stalked over to Cassius and Reeve. She watched with a hidden grin, just as the others gathered in the kitchen.

Leroy snatched the plate from them both, "My god, you two, stop acting like pups! Its my toast now and neither of you are going to keep fighting over stupid stuff. Understood?"

Reeve's lips curled in a snarl, then she looked away, "Whatever."

"She stole it from me," Cassius pouted.

Leroy gave him a flat look, "I don't see your name on this toast. Can you handle getting breakfast like the grown adults you are?"

"I'm literally six," Cassius mumbled under his breath, then he turned and grabbed the bread bag before Reeve could, "But yeah, I can be mature."

"Good." Leroy took the toast, lathered it in butter and jelly, then he returned to his stool with an exasperated roll of his eyes, muttering, "Its like having Asher here all over again."

Remi leaned across the counter with an amused raised eyebrow, "Do they always act like this?"

Leroy sighed, "Cassius has always caused trouble, but he and Reeve have been acting more and more like siblings over the past few weeks."

"Interesting," Remi smirked.

Suddenly, an orange flew across the counter and nailed Remi in the face. Her head whipped around with everyone else's and Reeve stood in front of the open refrigerator with her hands on her hips. Reeve's silver eyes said it all.

"What was that for?!" Remi cried, rubbing his face with a groan.

"Oh, you know," Reeve shrugged, "Since we're blood siblings, didn't want you to miss out on the sibling fighting."

Remi snorted, leaned down to retrieve the battered orange from the floor and when she thought he would throw it back at Reeve, he started to peel it nonchalantly, "But did you know that oranges are sweetest if you devour them freshly after bruising them? Its almost like apples. Thank you, sister, for sharing."
