"Hey, watch it, Thane!"

She tried to scold the burly wolf, as he had almost plowed her over in his excitement, but when Thane continued to rub against her and communicate how much he had missed her - she found it impossible to be mad at him. She leaned down and scratched his giant head.

"I missed you, too, boy." She said and Thane blinked up at her with soft eyes. The rest of her wolves swarmed around her in excited yips and thick, wagging tails that almost knocked her over, but Cross kept his distance as always. She rolled her eyes at him and she swore he mimicked her; and if he could've stuck his tongue out, he would have.

"You guys have been good, right?" She giggled, Arch licking her fingers, and Ever looked up with big, blue innocent eyes, "I sure hope you have, wouldn't want to outdo our welcome now, would we?" Her wolves seemed to agree with slight nods and lolling tongues.

She finally glanced up and realized she had been left alone in the main foyer, aside from the echo of numerous voices from somewhere deeper within the house. As soon as she had opened the front door, her wolves had attacked her, and she totally forgot about everyone else that was behind her. She assumed they had filtered into the house around her but she felt slightly embarrassed that she had completely forgot about everyone's existence but her wolves. Briefly, she wondered what everyone thought of her, but then she decided she didn't really care.

Cross grunted, drawing her attention to him, and she gasped when she saw Reeve's two black wolves circling Cross. One of the black wolves moved swiftly and caught Cross' ear within its jaws. Cross jerked his head and nipped back at the black wolf. She had almost thought they were fighting but she quickly realized it was a playful gesture as they continued to tussle a bit in nips and low growls.

"Are you guys best friends now?" She found herself asking. Cross instantly stopped, remembering she was there, and shot her an irritated glance. The two black wolves also stopped, their heads swinging in her direction, and those pairs of dark eyes lightly assessed her.

Her heart jerked in her chest when the two of them moved towards her. They almost stalked in a predatory manner, with their heads low and silent paws despite their massive sizes, and the only indication she had that they were curious was their perked ears. They moved side by side but when they drew close enough, they parted and circled on either side of her.

Skeet stood by her side and she could feel his fur bristling against her fingertips, in what she assumed to be a silent warning to the black wolves, but the two giant wolves were only silent. They tightened their circle, forcing the rest of her wolves to leave her, and she felt the heat of their giant bodies emitting into the air. Though, she didn't feel scared. Intimidated, but not frightened.
