Sendak and his right hand man, Haxus, were standing at the edge of a forest, looking at the giant castle. I was standing between two robotic Sentries, knowing if I tried to bolt I'd be shot. I knew that because I already tried and failed. Now I had a bandage wrapped tightly around my upper thigh.

"Commander Sendak, the sentries are in position around the Arusian village," Haxus said.

"Luck is on our side," Sendak said with a wicked smile. "Look, the Castle defenses are down. The door is wide open. With all these Arusians coming in and out it should be nothing for you to infiltrate"

"I may not have to. Look. The small one has a Galra drone they've repurposed. If I can just get close enough to clone its signature code, I can send our bomb drone in undetected"

"You never cease to let me down, Haxus"

After Haxus managed to do whatever he was trying to do I watched an explosion occur in the Castle, all the panicked Arusians running out to safety.

We went to the castle, me being shoved every second by one of the Sentries. At the entrance a man stopped us from entering. It was Shiro and he was wearing some sort of armour with black highlights.

"Stand aside," Sendak ordered.

"No. You're not getting in," Shiro said, his right hand starting to glow purple.

"Yes, I am"

"Leave him be!" I shout.

A Sentry shoved me forward, making me fall to the ground beside Sendak. Shiro gasped, his eyes wide when I looked up.

"Aris?" He asked.

"Shiro, you're alive"

"And so are you"

"Do what you have to. Don't let them inside-"

"That's enough," Sendak said, his robotic arm launching out and grabbing Shiro.

One of the Sentries grabbed me, pulling me out of the way of the battle that was going on. It was a pretty even match, but Sendak was one step ahead of Shiro. They ended the fight inside the Castle, each with a hand to the other's throat.

"Let him go, or your friends won't make it," Haxus said, a gun aimed at me and another at the unconscious brown haired boy.

While Shiro was distracted Sendak hit him, knocking him out. "Voltron is ours," he said.

The Sentries carried in a giant crystal, then when we got to the bridge they connected it to the Castle's systems. I knelt beside Shiro and the brown haired boy - who was wearing armour with blue highlights, like Shiro's - watching the Castle power up.

"The Lions are all in their bays. Raising particle barrier. Begin launch sequence"

"Sendak, let them go, you have what you wanted," I said, hoping he would listen to me, even though I knew he never listened to anyone but Zarkon.

"Don't get in my way, Human," Sendak ordered.

Surprisingly, they let me wander around the Castle, probably because they knew I wouldn't be able to escape now that the Castle was under their control. I was thinking of what I could do, heading towards the door we entered from. Before I could pass by, continuing on through the Castle, something made me stop.

"Hey!" Someone shouted on the other side of the particle barrier.

I looked over, my eyes widening. There were two people standing outside, a girl and a boy in armour like Shiro. The girl had white hair, pulled up in a bun, and pointy ears. The guy had a helmet on his head, his armour having a red highlight.

"Aris?" The guy asked.

"You aren't Galra, are you?" I ask, ignoring the guy, stepping closer to the barrier.

He removed his helmet, shaking his hair out of the way, showing me his handsome face and mullet. He was human, a human that I knew before I was kidnapped. He moved closer to the barrier and I placed my hands on it, trying to get as close as I could. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"Keith? What are you doing in space?"

"On Earth, we found the Blue Lion, that's how we ended up here"

"We? Shiro and that other injured boy?"

"And two others. How are you in the Castle?"

"Sendak, the Galran that has been holding me prisoner, is trying to take over the Castle. He was going to use me as a way to get the Lions, but didn't need me"

The Castle started to shake as I finished talking. I backed away from the particle barrier, Keith and the girl doing the same. But, eventually, the shaking stopped.

"What of Shiro and Lance?" The girl asks in a similar accent to mine.

"Shiro is alive, but the boy - Lance - I couldn't tell. He was unconscious. I should go back, I'll make sure they're okay"

I ran back inside, going straight towards the bridge. Shiro was on his knees, still unconscious, his hands cuffed behind his back. Lance was still laying on the ground. A boy in green highlighted armour ran to the door of the bridge, then ran away while Sendak chased after him. But another boy, one that looked the exact same, ran back in.

"Who are you?" He asked me as he came over to get Shiro to wake up.

"A prisoner of Sendak, I'm not an enemy"

Sendak came back, grabbing the boy in his giant robotic hand. But the particle barrier must've been turned off because Keith and the girl then ran in.

"Stand back!" Sendak ordered.

Someone shot Sendak in the back, making him drop the boy in the green armour. I looked over to see Lance with a gun in his hand, awake, but it didn't last long because he went unconscious again.

Those that were capable started fighting Sendak, and eventually they got him trapped in a barrier. Everything after that went pretty quickly. They put Lance in a pod which would supposedly fully heal him.

"Pidge, we can't thank you enough for all you did," Shiro said to the boy in green. "I can't help but feel that you were meant to be a part of our team... but I understand if you want to leave"

"Dad used to tell me how close he was with his crew members. They were like family. Now, I understand what he was talking about. I'm staying with you guys. Let's stop Zarkon for all of our families," Pidge said determinedly.

"Good to have you back on the team," Keith said.

"Who's she?"

"I'm Aris," I told them. "I was kidnapped by Sentries months ago and brought here"

"You're the missing mechanic? The one who was the best in the Garrison?" He asked excitedly.

"Yeah, that's me. Although I wouldn't say I was the best, I knew some cadets who were amazing with what they did, one was very promising. There was the sister of the brother, Holt... I forget her name"

"I-It doesn't matter," he stammered, looking away as if to hide his face.

"I'm Princess Allura of Altea," the girl said, shaking my hand, but she gasped as she noticed something. "Your cheeks"

My eyebrows scrunched together in confusion. "What's wrong with my cheeks?"

"Aris, you aren't Human?" Keith asked.

"I'm Human, why would I not be?"

"Your cheeks, they have the same markings as mine," Allura told me. "You're... Altean"

"What? Mum told me of the Alteans but she never said I was one, or she was one"

"That's fine," Allura smiled. "It looks like Coran and I aren't the only Alteans left"
