"What... What happened?"
"Voltron and the Atlas... combined! Thanks to the Balmera convergence," Mum told me. "Now we're going after Honerva. How are you feeling?"
"Drained. But they need my help-"
"No, you're staying right where you are. Don't make me send Troquion in to keep an eye on you"
"Mum, I don't need you or Dad to watch over me. The Paladins, everyone needs my help"
I ran away from her, finding a way up to the bridge. That's when I learned we were in a different reality, a reality where Altea was still there and Zarkon probably hadn't gone through the quintessence field.
They fought Honerva, moving the fight away from the city, but we got struck my some of the wings that flew behind Honerva and she drained the quintessence from us to create another portal.
But they pulled the wings out of our mech's body and we followed after her into the rift.
Once we were through we all blacked out for a second but came to, just in time for Honerva to strike. She destroyed one of the strands that floated around us.
"What is this place?" Lance asked.
"I-I think it's all the different strands of reality that exist," I said.
"This is the beginning! And the end," Honerva said.
She kept destroying the strands, one after another. We'd see flashes of the lives that lived inside those realities, but then it'd be gone.
"This place is the source of time, of space, of..."
"Everything," Hunk finished for Pidge.
"I will end this once and for all!" Honerva said.
We went to stop her, getting hit by the remains of the destroyed realities along the way, until there was only one strand left. We attacked, almost not stopping her, but then giant wings formed on the back of the Atlas and we shoved her into the light. We ended up in a white space.
"Where are we?" Honerva asked, her voice echoing around the empty space we stood in.
"The connected consciousness of all existence," Allura answered.
"You think you're safe here? Soon, all will cease to exist"
"You have to stop this. All these worlds, all these realities, they deserve to live," Hunk said.
"Those realities are flawed and weak, living out the same pathetic cycle of war and pain"
Allura approached her. "There is beauty in their flaws. I lost my father, my mother, my planet, to this war... but I've gained a new family and a purpose stronger than any I could have imagined"
"Humans began very flawed. There were wars, hate. But with each mistake, they learned and grew," Pidge explained.
"And now we reach out to other worlds to pass on those same lessons and spread them across the entire universe... like your people once did," Shiro said.
"And with every new world touched, the message grows," Hunk said.
"Every world, every reality. We wouldn't exist without the others," Keith said.
"Our differences are what make us stronger," Lance said.
"You think your words mean anything to me?" Honerva asked. "I've lived multiple lifetimes, and all of them filled with pain and loss. If I cannot experience the simple joys of life, why should anyone else?"
