It had been months since we last saw Lotor. Keith was now a part of the Blade of Marmora, but he was still the Paladin of the Black Lion and leader of Voltron.

I had also become a part of the Blade of Marmora, since I had awakened the power of my blade as well. Plus, Kolivan would answer any questions I had about my family. Except for the one question I would continually ask.

"Is my dad Galra?" I'd ask.

"I cannot answer that for you," would be his response.

I sighed as I went to the bridge to join the others. I hadn't figured out anything more about the crystal, but I had learned how to use the blade. When I used it, it would turn into different swords or knives, depending on the situation.

Kolivan told me it was strange, since it was only supposed to change into one type of sword. But to me it made sense, when I thought of how I was the heart of Voltron and I had a seemingly deep connection with anything that was around me. Like Voltron, or the Balmera, or the crystal.

"Okay, everybody, today, we'll be heading to Reiphod, a planet recently liberated from Galra forces," Coran said.

"This is embarrassing. We're basically the grand marshal of a parade," Keith mumbled.

"Not a parade. A show of arms!"

"Whatever it is, this is the second one of these we've done just this week," Pidge said.

"I know it's not exactly battling the Galra, but believe it or not, this helps us boost morale and strengthen alliances," Allura told her.

"Right, right, strongholds, blahdy, blahdy, blah," Lance said. "Now, I say we go over our lion choreography one more time. I don't want a repeat of what happened last time, Hunk"

"I thought my lion had more room," Hunk defended.

A screen showed up, cutting in on the conversation, Kolivan's face appearing on it.

"Shiro, my apologies for interrupting, but this is an urgent matter. A Galra supply ship has been spotted passing through Quadrant Omega-Raylar-Six"

"What's it doing so far from the normal supply routes?" Shiro asked.

"We can't be certain, but taken together with the fact that Lotor hasn't been seen in quite some time and the emergence of the new form of quintessence, we feel compelled to investigate. Normally, we would wait for better intel, but I believe we should act on this now"

"I'll send Voltron to intercept"

"An infiltration mission makes more sense. We can plant a tracker and see just how far the supply route extends. With all the Galra activity as of late my agents are spread thin"

"Not anymore. Count me in," Keith cut in.

"Hey, what about our performance?" Lance asked angrily. "We can't razzle dazzle the crowd with just four lions"

"This mission is more important than a show of arms. Shiro?"

"How long will it take?" Shiro asked.

"Not long, but we must act fast, or risk the ship jumping to hyperspace"

Shiro turned to Keith. "Go. But when you're done, meet us on Reiphod"

"So, will Aris take control of the Black Lion?" Lance asked.

"I need Aris to come with us. She'll be needed for this mission"

I changed into my armour. It wasn't the same as the other Blades but it was close, it worked just as well anyway. Keith changed into his Blade of Marmora armour. I ran after him to the Black Lion, the both of us taking off to meet up with Kolivan and the other member joining us on the mission, Regris.

After we snuck on board and searched the ship we noticed there were no sentries or even soldiers on board, so we all met up.

"I completed the Sentry scan. There are none on board," Regris told us.

"The entire place is empty. Have you ever seen this before?" Keith asked.

"I've only seen it like this when it was a decoy, a trap," I said.

Kolivan nods. "Something's not right here. We should leave"

"We came all this way," Keith argued. "We should at least plant the tracker and find out where this ship ends up"

"I still say that this ship is going to end up in pieces, blown up," I say to Keith.

"Let's make it quick," Kolivan said.

I sighed, yet followed them to the bridge. Just like the rest of the ship there was no one there, it was eerily quiet.

"I'll check the logs," Regris said, running towards the controls.

"I'll get whatever info I can find," I say.

I ran beside him, going to a different set of controls to check if there were any prisoners that might've been my parents or someone else I knew. Pidge was still looking for her brother and dad.

"Planting the tracker," Keith said.

The doors closed, locking, and red words popped up on the screen. Regris and I both got locked out of the system, but I found a way back in.

"It's rigged to blow," Keith said.

"The ships a decoy! Everyone out!" Kolivan ordered.

Him and Keith started trying to pry the doors open with their swords. I stayed by the controls with Regris, trying to override the system.

"There's not enough time! Come on!" Keith shouted, the door finally opening.

"Just a few more ticks"

"Aris!"

Kolivan grabbed Keith, pulling him out of the control room. I stayed back, still hoping to find something useful. The room exploded, and I just barely managed to shield myself a little from the explosion.

I blacked out for a couple seconds, but my eyes opened and I watched with half lidded eyes as our ship picked me up. I laid on the ground, breathing heavily, holding a hand over a gash I got on my leg.

"You're so careless," Kolivan said, almost glaring at me.

"Just like my mum and dad, right?" I ask with a weak chuckle.

"It wasn't worth risking your life," he scolded.

"I think it was," I showed him a chip in the palm of my hand. "I got some extra information for us about something, some stuff they erased but I managed to recover. I can't remember what it was about, though"

He sighed but took the chip from me and went to the front of the ship. Keith came over to me and helped me sit up, the both of us leaning against the wall beside each other.

"You almost died"

"It looks like you almost did too," I chuckled, wincing in pain as I pointed at the rip in his suit on his side.

"Hey, take it easy"

We got back to the Castle, which was currently stationed on Olkarion, and Keith picked me up since I couldn't exactly walk with my injured leg. He carried me into the Castle towards the healing pods.

"I don't think this is going to be the last time you help me into one of these healing pods," I said with a chuckle, him not looking very happy. "Keith, what is it?"

"I just thought you were going to die. You keep worrying me," he said, putting me down on my feet. I stayed in front of him, not wanting to get in the healing pod yet.

"It's the same way the other way around. You think I don't worry about you?" He looks away but I put a hand under his chin and guide his face back to mine. "I worry about you. All the time. There's something else, isn't there?"

"I'm not sure about it yet... I'm thinking of leaving"

"Keith, stay here. You have a lion, your team needs you"

He shook his head. "They don't need me now that Shiro's back"

I hugged him, hiding my face in his shoulder. "You're important to all of us"
