Voltron's Mechanic (Keith x OC)

24) The Colony

We flew back to the Castle in an Altean pod, the others standing at the end of the landing area waiting for us.

"Keith, Aris, it's so good to see you," Shiro said with wide eyes.

Keith jumped out of the pod first, then I did. Pidge ran up and hugged me. The others were probably in shock because of how much older we looked. Keith was taller and looked more mature now. I grew a little, too, but I hadn't changed as much as Keith.

"Hold on. How do we know you're the real Keith and not his bigger, cooler, grizzled older brother who took Aris from him?" Lance asked.

"Nobody took me from anybody," I told him.

"I don't have time for this, Lance!" Keith yelled in his face as he walked past him to Shiro.

"Hey, everybody, Keith's back!" Lance said sarcastically.

"We need to stop Lotor. He's been lying to all of us!"

"Well, not all of us," I mumbled, wrapping my arms around myself nervously.

"Wh-lying about what?" Shiro asked.

"Everything!" Romelle shouted.

The others were now out of the pod, still standing beside it. The team looked over, in even more shock than before.

"You're... you're Altean!" Coran said.

"And who's the Galran?" Lance asked.

"Is that a wolf?" Hunk asked.

"Is that Wren?" Pidge asked, looking at my mum.

"Lotor was right about my mom being alive. Except he knew exactly where she was," I said.

"Where did you come from?" Coran asked the Altean.

"I promise I'll explain everything once we get to Lotor," Keith told them.

"We can't get to him. He just entered he quintessence field with Allura," Pidge said.

"We traveled through realities before. Can't we fly in there and attack?"

"No, it'd be too unstable," I said.

"And Allura's with him. We can't risk hurting her," Lance said.

"Why are we even attacking?" Hunk asked.

"Look, Keith-everyone, calm down. When they return, we'll get this all sorted out," Shiro said.

"That means we have time to explain some things, I guess. Let's go to the bridge," I suggested.

When we got the the bridge I sat in my seat, curling up in a ball as I watched the others talk.

"Lance is right, you have changed," Shiro said to Keith and I.

"Time is different where we've been," Keith explained.

"Shiro, I am Krolia," Krolia introduced herself, shaking hands with Shiro. "Keith has told me all about you. Thank you for raising him to be the man he is today"

"Krolia is with the Blade of Marmora. Also... she's my mother"

"It's an honour to meet you," Shiro said.

"What? Okay, this is nuts!" Lance exclaimed, then points at each of us. "You come back with your Galra mom, a wolf, an Altean, another Altean who is this great mechanic back on Earth, and your girlfriend?!"

"I'm not his girlfriend," I muttered, hiding my face in my arms.

"Yes, I'm still waiting to hear the story of how you found this Altean and Wren," Coran said.
