21) Search and Reunite

When I woke up the next day and went to the bridge I saw a familiar face. Pidge's and Matt's Dad was standing there.

"Sam?" I asked.

"Aris! You're out in space too? Has this become a common theme with teenagers?"

I chuckle. "No. But getting kidnapped by the Galra seems to have been a common theme"

"Oh, dear. How'd they get you?"

"On Earth. But I found the Castle and became a part of the team"

"They should be glad you did, a bright mind like yours working together with Pidge"

"I figured out something about my dad. He is Galra"

"Really?" Pidge asked.

"It makes sense. Everyone believed dad was a Human, but they were both brilliant mechanics and tech geniuses. It would be a simple task to make something to disguise Dad's true form. But he was working with the Blade of Marmora, I know he isn't one of Zarkon's followers. I just want to see him again"

Lotor walked into the bridge, glancing around before his eyes stopped on me. He came closer until he was right in front of me.

"What is it?" I asked, trying not to glare.

"I know nothing about who your father is," he told me. "But I've seen your mother"

"My mum? How do you know it was her?"

"Her name is Wren Kremer, is it not?" I nod and he continued. "She has the Altean marks, the same white hair as you, and she's a mechanic that Zarkon had held captive until she was rescued by someone unknown"

"I don't trust you"

"You will when you see that we're fighting on the same side"

"I don't believe you"

"It's up to you what you want to believe or not. You believe your father is still alive, why not your mother?"

I went silent, and the whole room remained silent for a minute until I decided. "I'm leaving"

"What? Why?" Pidge exclaimed.

"If we're lucky we'll all see each other again, if you'd like, but this may be the end of the heart of Voltron. Voltron will be without it's heart for now, but it doesn't need a heart to live. It needs you"

"Aris-" Allura started trying to say something but I wouldn't let her, I knew if I let her speak she might convince me not to go.

"I'm going to search for my dad. And maybe even my mum"

"Your mom?" Sam asked.

"My mum is alive"

"How do you know for sure?" Pidge asked.

"On Olkarion, the Galran said 'you're better than what she is', like she weren't dead. It's hard to tell how long ago she was there, so perhaps they just don't know. But now Lotor promises me my mom is still alive... I believe she's alive"

"You believe him?"

Two screens appeared, one with Kolivan's face and another with Slav. Slav was this genius we saved from the Galra who had a lot of arms and a lot of ideas.

"Sorry for the interruption," Kolivan said. "Keith is still there, is he not?"

"He is," I told Kolivan then look back at the others I was talking with. "Not entirely, but it does give me a reason to go searching. The Blade of Marmora wants to know where my parents are too, so this is my mission"
