Selena POV

*

Today, it would be just me and the girls visiting Sophia, aside from Maria. Dallas and Tyson flew in a day or two after Sophia recovered and now they're holding some meeting with Chance about the shooting. I would've went but they insisted we go and visit Sophia so she wouldn't be lonely. "I feel like we should be helping in some way," Tanisha sighed. "I feel completely useless just sitting around."

"You're not the only one," Kiya mumbled rubbing her stomach. "But knowing Tyson he wouldn't let my pregnant ass get involved no way."

"Damn right," I chuckled. "We may not be in on what they're discussing but we are helping. We're keeping Sophia's mind off of everything and making sure she's safe in case whoever is after us comes back to finish the job."

"You think they'd do that? Who'd want her dead?"

I hesitated a little. They have a right to know just like the guys. They are part of the group now. "Well, our father was known as the infamous drug lord Parca and when he died someone was out to kill us. Maria trusted this guy who was like her boyfriend and he ended up being really evil and did horrible things. We had to leave home for our safety. We've lived with this constant fear that he'll come back and finish the job."

"Why would he want to kill y'all though?" Tanisha asked. "If your father is dead what does he gain from y'all being killed?"

"I don't know," I mumbled thinking back to simpler times. Growing up I didn't think badly of Darren in the least. He was always a bit too serious in my opinion but he was a decent guy. Maria was one of the few people who could get him to unwind. He didn't seem like a bad guy at all. But it was like he flipped and adopted this evil aura. The things he did to me and Maria. I never thought he would turn out so bad. Besides Chance, I thought he would've been the only one who could truly protect us. Just thinking about him...makes me sick. My stomach knots up and clenches at the very thought of trusting that monster. Even a little bit.

"Well you don't have to worry alright?" Tanisha said. "I wouldn't have half of what I've got if it wasn't for you guys. I won't let anyone hurt you or Sophia. Especially Maria."

"Me too!" Kiya piped up. "Pregnant or not I'll bust a cap in someone's ass."

I chuckled. "Thanks y'all. And you better pipe down Kiya. You know Tyson is not going for that."

"Fuck that tall black bitch." Tanisha and I fell over laughing. This girl is real life crazy. My phone rang catching my attention. It was Chance.

"What's up?"

"I just talked to Jay and he said they're going to discharge Sophia. Get her and bring her here."

"What? Why? She can't even walk yet."

"Trust me. You all need to hear this. Meet at the trap." He hung up before I could ask any more questions.

"What happened?" Tanisha asked as we walked inside of Sophia's room. And sure enough they were getting her ready to leave.

"Chance said this meeting is important and all of us needs to be there." I have no idea what's going on but it has me worried.

Chase POV

*

"What's up Chase?" my boy Ram came up to me. We both work for this man named Scar. He's got this big ass jagged scar going across his face making him deformed in the face. He's a damn tyrant in these streets. He kills with not a care and has started smoking his own shit so now he's all the way fucked up. Many want to leave but this is the game and the only way out is a body bag. I consider myself part of Dallas's set but the reality is I'm a part of Scar's. I plan on leaving though. Alive.
