i decide to finally break the silence

you stay quiet for a second and open your mouth finally after what seemed like forever,
what you said next shattered my heart
"i honestly don't know what to say"
you said this because you knew it was true, and so did i.
you don't listen anymore because you don't care anymore.
the voices in my head started screaming

listen to me!
please i need you right now please listen to what i have to say!
its all too much please listen!
please care!
please listen!
but of course i could never cough up the courage to say this to you.
so instead we walked home in silence and when i got home i sobbed into my pillow,
the words finally softly slipped from my mouth quietly into my pillow
somebody please care,
somebody please listen to me.
