how did it feel
when you stuck your fingers
into my chest
and ripped my beating heart
straight out
even though it was dripping with blood
and my body instantly collapsed without it
you took it and you threw it on the ground,
you spit on it and stomped on it
but that still wasn't enough
so then you cut it up into a thousand pieces
and you told everyone
that i was so hard to love
heartless you said
and that if anyone wanted to love me
or vice versa,
they would have to find all the pieces and put it back together
not many wanted to go through the trouble
but some tried
they tried so hard
but they failed to realize you still had one piece
and you would never give it up
