~1995~
Chilling tempertaure of seventy degrees covered the mountains of Puerto Rico. Water was running along the pave dirt after a rain fall. There was greenery everywhere you looked and it was a good healthy green look. Small water falls were falling over the placed rocks, making ponds of water in small areas. Everything was quiet and nature had it's sound. Animals roamed amongst the islands. Animals such as snakes, frogs, lizards and bugs roamed on the surface of the island. In the Puerto Rican trees are where monkeys, Parrots and other birds took their place. In the oceans of the islands is where sea turtles and other sea creatures took place. Many animals live in the Puerto Rican islands, but some of the animals weren't particulary familiar so they weren't percieved as normal. Creatures such as the Lochness monster was rumored to have surfaced near these islands.
There was a small farm in the middle of the islands of Puerto Rico. The farm was owned by a man named Carlos Delgado. The man had a family once, a family who helped out on the farm, who worked day and nghts just to keep it running. They had many financial troubles and many desperate moments. Carlos was married to a woman only a lover could love. Natalie Gonzales was a woman of a temper, she didn't let people tell her no and she didn't take no for an answer. She wanted it her way all the time ,and even though she loved her husband very much ,she couldn't stand his laziness and often yelled at him, many arguments were made in the Delgado house hold. They had fought so much that she had even thought of divorce, but she had come from a family who had strong marriages, people in her family would look down on her if she ever were to leave. So of course she stayed, of course there were arguments, and of course there were many more troubles. Carlos and Natalie had two children of their own, Sofia and Omar. Sofia was a beauty who often caused trouble. She was a daddy's little girl and often went to him for when she was in trouble, she never went to her mother for her mother was too judgmental. The parents would always fight about how they should bring up Sofia, Natalie thought they should be harsh on her while Carlos was more calm and gentle, and usually Carlos won the argument which resulted into a new argument "You're going to make her love you more than me! She will grow up and be a wreck and it will be all your fault." Then their was Omar. Omar was a good two shoes, a charmer who charmed every person walking by, old or young. He was a smart boy who always seem to bring A's, even though he was home-schooled he always seemed to get good grades. Omar had no troubles and his parents never had to worry about him.
Both children grew up to become successful grown people. Sofia had become a high ranked lawyer, she had often told her dad that she had learned to get her way from mom. Sofia had two children, both boys by the name Carlos and Jose. She had moved out of the Island and out of Puerto Rico. Omar was a successful doctor who travelled the world in hopes to cure the world. Even as an adult he was always trying to be his best, he always charmed everybody and still does.
Unfortunately, there had been an accident in the result of the death of Natalie Gonzales Delgado. One night when Mr. and Mrs. Delgado had gotten into a vicious fight Natalie had stormed out. She started walking towards the end of the islands, she realized leaving the farm in the middle of the night, with nobody there to protect her, was a bad move when she bumped into deaths door. The next day when Mr. Delgado had searched for her, yelling her name and screaming " I love you!" He had finally found her. Her body was empty of any liquids, she had a deflated body, the only thing left was her skeleton.
To this day Mr. Delgado has lived in his farm, tending to the animals and living on his own. He regretted a lot of things, especially chasing Natalie out, he blamed himself for her death. His kids had left when they had turned eighteen and went to America. Sofia went first and then Omar, who was two years younger, but Carlos had stayed because he had nothing left but his farm. He thought he was safe from the world, safe from getting hurt, safe from any endangerment, but Carlos was in more denager than he had ever been in his life.
