Sophia and her friends were up early for their trip to the rain forest. They had all packed their own individual backpacks filled the the needed essentials for anything that they might face. Sophia had gone to the rental car, which was a red, town and country van. Nobody realy knew what they were going to run into, nobody has ever been to a forest before. Everybody thought Sophia crazy, why would somebody go looking for a thng she didn't even kbow existed? And does she even know what it looks like?

As John was driving he noticed a figure at a far distance. It looked almost human like, it was a human he convinced himself. He squinted to try to take in the image, but that did no good the image was too far away. John looked to his right and noticed Sophia sleeping. He reached over to tap her. When he looked back the creature was gone. He thought he had seens omething unreal, something unrealistic. He thought he saw Big foot. John freaked out, thinking that he had finally found something that people have been looking for, for years.

John had finally pulled into the nearest parking lot and woke up Sophia.  Everybody go out of the car, bringing their backpacks along. Everybody looked in amazement at what they saw. A path ran horizontal in the forest with trees lining the path on both sides. There were layers of trees around the path, leaves lay across the dirt path. As the group walked further into the forest, they started to see birds and a lizard that ran across the dirt path by Mary Kay's heel.

"Eeeep!" Mary Kay screamed.

They all looked at each other. Sophia took the lead with Mary kay, Laura and Linda following behind in that order. They walked slowly, taking in their surroundings. A breeze started to pick up and the leaves started to make rustling sounds. Smells of wet dirt had filled their noses and the sweet smell of rain filled the air.

The group started deeper into the forest. The scenery astounded the group as they walked in awe. Nobody in the group had ever seen anything like they had seen in the forest, they never really had time to go on vacation either It was always work, work, work. Now, they were all together in a place they never even imagined they would ever be. Except for Sophia. Sophia grew up around here, but she was never, never allowed far distances away from the house, even as a teenager. Sophia had never seen what this forest looked like from the outside. Of course Mary Kay never imagined herself being in a place like this, it was a horrid place to spend vacation time, in her opinion.

John remembered the image that he had seen earlier, the image of almost like a mutated man. He wondered if he should just keep it to himself, what if he was just imagining things, he could just be tired. He decided to just keep it to himself just for today, he would talk to Sophia tomorrow. Why did he care what Sophia thought? He shook of the idea and walked on.

It had been nearly two hours since they started to walk through the forest. They were all mesmerized my the forest and the few creatures that they had come across. It was nine O'clock in the morning ( they had left at eight) and they had been walking since they got to the forest. They decided to take a water break, Mary Kay finally stopped whining abut being so tired. After their water break they continued on through the forest.

The group contained through the forest quietly, taking in the scenery. The group neared a water fall, which was smaller than most water falls. The water from the fall fell into a pool of water that was surrounded by larger rocks.  Tree logs, large rocks and big tress surrounded the area. The group dropped their backpacks in amazement and watched the waterfall in motion. Linda walked over to one of the larger rocks and sat on it, sitting her feet in the pool of water.  Laura soon followed Linda over to the rocks and sat next to her. They took their shoes off and put their feet in the water, swishing their legs back and forth. Sophia looked at them and was disgusted. They were her for a reason and the reason was not to have fun. Sophia looked over to her other friends and saw that Mary Kay had her jaw hung open. Sophia scoffed. At least there was somebody else who felt the same way. Mary Kay noticed Sophia looking at her and sighed.
