Mary Kay had surprisingly made it through the rain forest with no trouble. Of course she had had her doubts, but she knew and hoped she would make it out unhurt and alive. She ran almost the way and she was afraid to stop. She didn't want anything to have a chance to grab her. She had finally made it to the entrance of the rain forest. She sighted the car that the group drove in. Mary Kay didn't have the keys and didn't know how to hotwire. She knew she had to drive.Mary  Kay thought wow it's deserted. And it was, nobody was to be seen at the entrance. She tried not to think about it but got shivers in the end. She knew nobody was around to give her a ride so she walked back to the farm.

It took her hours to get back to the farm. It was dark by the time she had made it there. It looked the same, just as deserted as before. She walked over to the house and walked in. She knew she couldn't take advantage of the home, it wasn't hers. Yet she felt like she needed to, she was mad at her friend for how selfish she had been..in Mary Kay's opinion.

Mary Kay went to the freezer and made a pepperoni pizza. She got a can of coke and sat in the living room. She saw a box that sat next to the couch. Mary Kay was feeling nosy and opened the box. Inside was the poem that Sophia's father read every night after the death of her mother. She felt bad for reading it and said sorry to her father. Could he even hear her? She put the poem and box away. Fifteen minutes the pizza was ready. The pizza was kind of burnt, maybe the stove was faster than normal. She sat down and started to eat.

BANG BANG BANG.......

The morning sun shone into Mary Kay's room..er....Sophia's room. Birds were speaking to each other peacefully, it almost sounded like music. But that isn't what woke up Mary Kay, the banging on the front door is what woke her up. Mary Kay opened her eyes slowly and moaned.  Mary Kate rolled out of the bed and landed on the floor. The banging stopped. Just for a second and started up again. The banging kept getting louder. Mary Kay dragged her feet all the way to the front door. She moaned again and opened the door slowly.

A man with chocolate colored skin and dressed in a black suit stood at the entrance. He had short black curly hair and deep brown eyes. He was accomponied by a young asien man and a older looking women with deep red hair. The man didn't smile as Mary Kay opened the door.

"Um...hi." Mary Kay said

"Are you ....Sophia?" He said as he checked a folder.

"Uhh...what if I said no?"

"Then i'm wasting my time."

"Then....yes?"

"Agh. I don't have time for this! I have a creature to catch!" He snapped.

"Wait....wait!" Mary Kay reached out and grabbed the turning man's arm. "What creature?"

"None of your concern."

"Yes...it is!"

"Why?"

"Because...because.....I was almost attacked....by the creature I mean. If were ARE talking about the same creature." Mary Kay tested.

"It's confidential information."

"Then I guess Sophia isn't here. Nor probably never will be." With That Mary Kay started to shut the door.

"Excuse me?" The man said as he stopped the closing door.

"Yeah, Sophia isn't here because she is out there hunting." Mary Kay nodded to the direction of the forest.

"Hunting? What?"

"The creature of course, numb nuts!" Mary Kay laughed in his face.

"May I come in." He stated as he held up a badge showing his name
