"What?" John shouted.

"Yeah. After you had escaped." Laura narrowed her eye at him. " They wouldn't help us to find you."

"Yeah, they said that it wasn't their problem." Mary Kay said mockingly. Laura smiled at her.

"As we were walking back to find you guys we saw two bodies lying on the path to the waterfall." Laura said.

"We checked the bodies and sure enough it was them." Mary Kay smiled.

"Is that a good thing?"John asked Mary Kay.

"They got what they deserved. That's all!"

"What did they look like?" Sophia wondered.

"Just like Linda. Just like your daddy and probably your mother." Linda looked at her feet.

"This thing. It does this to people." Sophia complained.

"It sucks people dry." Laura added.

"it drinks blood, it doesn't eat the body. Of course the skin is still on the bodies after i drinks, but then there is like fat that drops over the sides of the body." Mary Kay said.

"Ewe. Kay. " Laura glared.

"So, now we need a plan." Sophia declared.

"Like?" Laura was interested.

"Well, I had started to search in the dense part of the forest, but something really weird happened. So, I don't think we should go there tonight. I am up for any suggestions."

"What happened" Mary Kay wondered.

"Some giant snake tried to attack me. Like he tried to eat me. It was the strangest thing. It had weird characteristics too!"

"Like?" Mary Kay was interested.

"Larger red eyes, saliva pouring out of its mouth. Oh and the weirdest one, it had black discharge. BLACK." Sophia stressed.

"I saw that in a monkey earlier too. I didn't see any discharge though." John said.

That's weird because we saw an organism like that too." Laura said in a shocked tone.

"It was when we had checked on the couple. The ones that died." Mary Kay added.

"yes, and we noticed that there were fish swimming in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall." Laura said.

"The fish were swimming so fast!" Mary Kay almost yelled.

"Yeah, this snake was extremely fast. I have never seen it before." Sophia said.

"These fish had characteristics of Piranhas." Mary Kay said again.

"Yes, and miss Kay was dumb enough to get a close enough look." Laura glared.

"It wasn't dumb. I noticed that these fish had red scales. It wasn't a pretty red that you see on most fish, it was dull and ugly. It had black spots on the scales too! One fish jumped out of the water and tried to bite me. It landed in front of my face on land. It was huge! It was two times larger than some of the other fish." Mary Kay said.

"It was probably just another species." said Sophia.

"No. They all looked the same except for some minor changes." Laura declared.

"Oh, and black discharge ran from it's nose. It was nasty." Mary kay stuck her tongue out.

"It seems like there is some sickness or mutation going on around here." Sophia announced.

"What caused it, do you think?" Laura wndered.

"Something in the water?" John asked.

"What if the creature administered some sicknes or radiation to the other animals?" Mary Kay asked.

"That's absurd." Laura snapped.

"Not quite." Sophia held up a finger and Mary Kay smiled at Laura. "We don't know how this creature was created, what it is mixed with. We don't even know if it's of this world! We don't know anything. We won't until we kill it."

"Is that your plan?" John asked.

"Yes. I don't know. Maybe!" Sophia was confused.

"Well, if it is then count me out!" Laura shouted.

"We need to stick together. No matter what." Mary Kay added.

"I wish it were safe for you guys to leave, but I have made it too far to go back now. I'm sorry. You'll either have to go bck to the city on your own, r stick with us." Sophia pointed to her and John.

"I'm glad you care so much about us." Laura glared. "Linda would be so proud." She cried.

"Don't. Just stop." Mary Kay demanded. "She has made her choice. And I'm in."

"Okay. Let's get rest." Sophia added.

"We should go over the plan first." John recommended.

"yeah, sure, okay." Sophia agreed. " We will get some rest tonight and start up in the morning when we are well rested. We should make sure we have weapons, anything to protect us. We can make spears from large wooden sticks, found in the forest, it's what I killed the snake with." Sophia nodded towards the cave. " We can cover most tracks there. I don't know guys, I just think we should look for it, the creature I mean."

"What will we do when we find it?" Mary Kay asked.

"Good question. We should all corner it. Somebody should get it's attention, run if the have to, try to fight it off. Then somebody can come from behind and stab it in the back with their weapon. The rest of us can attack as well, b ut from different angles." Sophia recommended.

"I don't know if that will work." Laura said in a snobby way.

"Well, it will have to work. Anybody have anything else?" Sophia asked.

"Call the army?" Mary Kay asked.

"You know that they wouldn't believe us." Sophia said rolling her eyes.

"Let's sleep." John clapped his hands together and with that they all went inside the cave and tried to get as comfy as the could. It was hard to fall asleep, but they all were so tired that it wasn't look before they fell asleep.
