John had made his way back to where the group had split up. John knew that Sophia wouldn't be here anymore and he had his doubts about ever catching up with her. But still John made his way through the forest. John walked for what seemed like hours. He stopped to take a break for breath. He was at a place in the forest where there was a lot of trees. An injured bird waddled on the path that led through the forest. John walked over to help the bird but he was too late. A little brown monkey ran across the path and grabbed the bird, pulling the bird apart and gobbling it up. After the bird was gone the monkey noticed John. He turned his head slowly towards John's direction, showing him his big red eyes. The monkey snarled and then leaped away.
John was so scared. He had never seen anything like that before. This was surely a weird day for him,but he still made way through the forest.
Rain started to sprinkle down into the rain forest. Sophia stopped for a moment and took in the cool feeling of the rain. Rain was so pure and magical in Sophia's opinion. She took water out of her bag and took a drink. After she put her water away she decided that it was time to look into the dense part of the forest, which was on the side of the main path through the forest. She knew it was dangerous, but it was also necessary. Sophia took a step into the dense part of the forest and took a breath. After a few moments she walk deeper into the dense part of the forest.
Sophia found an umbelievably large wooden stick and carried it with her in a protective way. She took small steps, side stepping to make sure she didn't crunch any leaves. She looked all around her, above her, she looked at the ground. She listened for any noise, any foot steps, or anything abnormal. She felt like all of the animal sounds that she had once heard, had all disappeared. Just then a very large snake came crawling infront of Sophia's path. The snake reminded her of the incredibly large python in those sci-fi movies. The snake was albino with yellow spots, the spots were barely visible but you knew they were there. The snake stopped slithering and turned towards Sophia. Sophia stood as still as she could and barely even breathed. The snake watched her and Sophia watched the snake. She noticed that his eyes were large and were the color red. She then noticed that the snake had red stains around it's mouth. Discharge ran from the snakes nose, but it wasn't a normal looking discharge of an animal. The discharge running from the snakes nose was black and thick. The snake took a large breath. The snake then turned back into it's original position. Sophia thought the snake would go on and leave her be. She was wrong. The snake then crawled in a very fast speed and lunged for Sophia, snapping at her. Sophia dodged the snaked swinging her arms back and losing her wooden stick. The snake lunged for her again and she dodged. The snake was still and Sophia brought the stick up to her face. It seemed like they stayed in this position for as long as half and hour. The snake lunged for her again. Sophia swung the stick and the snake flew a large distance. Sophia took her chance and started running. She ran in the snakes direction and jumped over it. She had to find the creature and the snake was in her way. The snake quickly got back into motion and chased her. Sophia ran around trees and going in weird shapes to confuse him. She looked back after running for fifteen minutes. He was gone. Sophia took a deep breath and continued into a walk. She walked deeper into the dense forest in search for he creature.
John had walked for fourty-five minutes. He had seen a cave barely in the far ahead distance. He knew he had to get there for shelt, as the rain was getting heavier. John didn't want to take shelter quite yet, he still had to find Sophia. He decided to head for the cave knowing that he could never find her in this weather. So he went along and made his way to the cave, fifteen minutes late, he was there. The cave was of the color grey. The rain made the grey coloring deeper than if it were dry. Inside the cave it smelled of wet stone. Inside the cave it shimmered, it was like the stone inside sparkled. The floor was dry in the middle, but a little bit we at the entrance. He noticed that a few spider webs had taken advantage of the cave, but he didn't care. He would wait here unti the rain stopped, he then would search for Sophia again.
