An hour had passed since the group had gotten attacked by the mutated mosquitos and now Laura lie on her back with her eyes closed. She felt pain through her entire body. She was unconcious and could only hear the whispers of her nearby friends. It comforted her. Obviously she was in a safe place if she felt peace surrounding her. It was quiet with an occasional buzz of a bug. Her head was laid on a small lap and hands carresed her face. Sophia. She was the dearest friend, and Laura promised that if she were to survive and live, she would make sure that Sophia knew that. She would never do what Mary Kay did, she just didn't have the nerve to do that. Even if it was for her own safety, Laura saw Mary Kay's acts as selfish.
John examined Laura's body for the fifth time. Her body was grey and her vains were visible through her skin. She was limp and her skin was rough. Blood stained around Laura's mouth and her eyes had turned a dull yellow. Black discharge had started to drip from her nose slowly. This was the worst sign that John had seen and decided it was an emergancy to get her into town. But he wasn't even sure if that would help. John expressed his concerns to Sophia and the couple decided that they should take her in immedietly. Sophia helped John put Laura in John's arms. They exchanged looks and made their way out of the cave that the creature lay in. Just as they were about out of the cave a noise erupted from the cave. The creature had awaken.
The creature stood on all four of his legs. He stretched his legs, showing how large his paws were and how longe his claws were. The creature snarled and started wal;king slowly twoards Sophia, John and Laura. Sophia pushed John over to the right, making John lose grip of Laura. Laura's head hit the floor and JOhn fell onto his back.
"He wants me." Sophia whispered just before she started sprinting the other direction. She ran as fast as she could toward the main path of the forest, the creature was running just as fast and was on her heels. JOhn struggled to get up and when he did get up, he walked over to the entrance to the cave. He walked back over to where Laura layed. He pushed her over to the corner, trying his best to make sure she wasn't seen by anything else. He didn't want to leave her, but Sophia, he couldn't just leave her out there with that thing. John sprinted out towards the direction that Sophia had sprinted.
The creature had stepped on Sophia's ankles making her fall on her stomach, almost hitting her head. The creature was going so fast that he didn't have enough time to stop. Sophia lifted up her head seeing the creature just twelve feet infront of her. The creature had stopped and turned around, he sprinted towards Sophia. Sophia tried to get up and failed, the creature had pounced on her. John had finally made his way over to where Sophia was and started to tug and pull at the creature. While Sophia punched and tried to pushe the creature away, while yelling, John looked around for any sort object he could use as a weapon. John spotted a pointed rock, it wasn't small and it was large, it was the size of a small juice glass. John turned around and saw the creature swipe his claws at Sophia's face, scraping her skin. Blood started to come from Sophia's face. Sophiia screamed and gave up. The creature took Sophia into his mouth and started to jog away, not aware of John's presence. John sprinted toward the creature and leaped onto his back. This creature stopped not knowing what had just happened. John held onto the creatures fur as the creature shook. Sophia screamed as the creature tore her skin apart. The creature sat down and dropped Sophia, not knowing what kind of creature was attacking him, the crature started biting at where he thought the creature was, just like a dog who has fleas. John dodge the creatures attempts of attack and reached for the creaturs head. John brought the pointed rock and smashed it into the creatures head, making the creature yelp and dropping Sophia. Sophia yelled. The creature layed down and rolled on his back. John made his best efforts to get away , but got his ankle caught under the creature. John yelled and yanked his ankle free. The rock was still in the creatures head when John took Sophia's hand and they ran into the deep dense forest. They didn't know where they were going, but they needed to get out.
