When she heard the news, all else failed to grab her attention. No news on the televesion could distract her, no shaking, no yelling and screaming, no kissing or any touching, not even sending John away. She was in shock, she was in a mental state of mind. She just sat on the floor with her hands over her ears and then all of a sudden she starts to scream. She screams as loud as she can for abour five minutes, then it falls silent. There is heavy breathing coming from the far right and it was coming from Tyler. Sophia then started cryuiing. No, it was not your typical crying, it wasn't even the typical teenager sob. The animal like sound that escape Sophia's throat was a sob. She sobbed and cried; cried and sobbed. It was an hour later. John had come back with Startbucks, but Sophia was still sobbing like a wild animal. Five minutes later it stopped. She uncovered her ears and looked up a little too fast. She got onto her knees slowly and then got to her feet so fast that not a minute went by before she felt to the ground, she hit her head against the counter she was standing by and smacked the hard wood floor, Tyler rushed to her side and John stood their by the door, with the coffee in his hand, mouth open and stuttering.

" Sophia! Sophia! Sophia can you hear me?" Tyler started giving her CPR, but Sophia wasn't responding. Fifteen minutes went by and Sophia hadn't woken up yet. Tyler was yelling at John to snap out of it and call nine- one -one. John didn't move a muscle. So, Tyler demanded John to help carry her to the car so they could take her to the hospital.

Darkness surrounded Sophia she wondered where she was, blackness was all she could see, or maybe that was the thing, that she couldn't see. Then it all happened so fast. As her eye lids started to lift up, light started to seep into her world. The first thing she saw was the hospital blanket covering her body. As she looked around the room she saw flowers surrounding her. She took in the T.V, she took in the bathroom, she took in the gross feeling of feeling groggy. Then the door open. Friends poured in , all bearing smiles and cheery energy.

"How are you!"  Laura whispered, knowing that Sophia couldn't take the loudness.

"O-M-G... You're okay!" Mary Kay shouted, obviously un-aware of sopias condition.

"Shut up Kay! You're an idiot."  Linda rolled her eyes and then continued " how are you sweet cakes?"

The last one that entered was John and Tyler. John went over to the bed and kissed Sophia on the cheek, he then whispered something to her that made her laugh. Tyler gave him a look of wonder and John gave him a smile in exchange. Tyler looked around the room, at all the peope, and then at Sophia. He walked over to her bed side.

"I am so sorry. For everything. And not only for your father, but also for the way I have and was acting, I didn't know. I am so sorry. I love you. I love you." Tyler said and then kiseed her three times. " I will always be here for you! I lvoe you so much!" Tyler got teary eyed.

"I love you too, Tyler. I love you all." Sophia could barely get out her words.

For about an hour all of her friends and her husband talked. They talked about everyday life, about work, family, kids and boys. They told jokes and they tried to be funny, but eventually word about what they should to "next" came up.

"So, are you going to see the body?" Mary Kay asked

"Don't be so stupid Mary Ka-" Linda shouted, but got interrupted by Sophia.

"No,no it's fine Laura. I want to go back to Puerta Rico. I want to see my home. I need to see him."

"This is your home now, Sophia." Tyler whispered while holding her hand.

"No, I know. I just need to see him."

"Do you need company?" Laura asked.

"That's just the thing. I wanted to ask if you all would go to Puerta Rico with me. I really need the support. And of course I hope you will join me Tyler." She smiled and then added. " Oh, and John?" She smiled "I was hoping you would join us as well."  They all soaked it in and discussed it.

"I hope their isn't, like a disease, because I don't want to die." Mary Kay said.

"You'll be fine." Sophia replied.

"Aaaand, how do you know that?" She asked with attitude.

"Because I lived there for fifteen years." She said smiling and then gasped.

"What?" They all said in unison.

"What if my brother doesn't know?"

"They'll call him just like they called you." Laura said in a matter- of- fact way.

"Well, actually her brother travels the world, he is in Africa and where he is, he doesn't have great cell service." He said smiling at Laura like he had just slapped her in the face.

"Why would you go to Africa? Like, Eww!" Mary Kay shouted.

"He's a doctor you freaking idiot!" Linda shouted " You should just leave!"

"Don't talk to me like that!" Mary Kay snapped back.

"Then stop being an idiot!" Laura defended Linda.

"Okay, okay! Everybody calm down. When I get better I am going to Puerta Rico. WHo is in? Because I need to know now, to plan things." Sophia stated.

The room fell to silence. Everybody looked at each other. Mary Kay looked disgusted. Most of their faces looked caring or worried. Some looked like they felt bad for her. She just wanted asnwers. She took Tyler's hand, she knew he would accompany her, he loved her no matter what they went through. Together forever, they would say.

"I'm in." Laura said first.

"Thank you Linda." Sophia Smiled and held her hand.

"Me too." John said shaking his head mockingly. Sophia smiled and tapped his arm.

"I'm in!" Linda shouted.

"Thank you so much!" Sophia got teary eyed.

Then they all looked at Mary Kay.

"I just don't know guys. There will be like, bugs and dirt, and like I can't wear heels, dan I?" Everybody just stared at her for an answer. "Fine then! I'll go!" She shouted like she was mad at herself for saying yes. At Mary Kay's answering everybody shouted and whooped.

Sophia was excitd that her friends and husband would be joining her along to go to Puerta Rico, but she knew that this wasn't going to be a vacation, she knew that she was going for a reason, to see her father's body, to give him the proper burial.

Now all she needed to do was to get better because she felt like literal crap. She felt like she could talk, could sit up, couldn't kiss her husband goodnight. She was exhausted and need some good sleep. She swore that she would get a lot of rest so that she could send an E-mail to her brother and hope that he would get it as soon as he could.

She needed to get better, for the better, for her father.
