0Sophia thought that she had enough courage and strength, she thought that she was ready for any challenges thrown at her, but when she and her friends finally had made it to the morg where her dad lay, she lost all the strength in her. She hoped that it wasn't his body, but how could it not be?

When they got to the morg,Sophia and laura walked side by side, hand in hand. Behind them John walked and behind him the others right next each other. They finally made it there, only Sophia was allowed inside, to identify the body. She walked in and the awful smell of death surrounded her, she wondered how many good people had died. She was lead to a nearby table. They uncovered the bag and there she saw her father lay. She couldn't handle her emotions, she started to cry. Nothing else really matteredt to her at that point, only her fathers death. She was informed that her fathers death was such a rare one and tha only five other people- including her mother, had died this way. They had no clue how this had happened. Sophia asked to see the rest of the body, they uncovered the bag. There she saw her fathers skinny, bony, dried up body.

"Why, I have never seen this before." She said thorugh sobs.

"We have only sen it five times total. You siad this happened to your mother as well?"

"Yes, something is out there and I want to know what is."

Sophia was lead out of the room and was sent back with her friends. The burial of her father would happened tomorrow in the evening. Sophia had sent a Email to her bother since the day of the release at the hospital. No answer was made. She felt bad that her brother would miss their own father's burial.

Sophia and the group went backt he the farm and house. Sophia gave them all a tour of the house, getting creeped out at every corner. Sophia informed them all that she saw no food. Everybody sighed, they were starving. Sophia swore to go to the store in the morning, right now she was over tired and stressed. Sophia and John took her paren'ts old room and the girls took Sophia's room.

The next day Sophia had made her promise. She went to the store and stacked the house good. She didn't know how they were staying, so she bought a months worth of supply. She made eggs and bacon for everybody once the woke up. Once everybody had eaten Sophia tried to get a hold of her brother again, this time by telephone. She called him eleven times total, no answer. She decided to send another email. They all relaxed and layed around the house doing nothing, but talked.

Evening fell and the burial would happen in a few hours. Everybody had brught fancy clothes for the funeral. Even though Sophia didn't tell them to bring it, they knew what to expect and they expected a funeral. They all dressed up and look nice. Even John looked stunning. They all piled into the car and went to her father's funeral.

Everything was so depressing. He father was dress in clothes that slid off of him from being so skinny. He lay in a black shiny coffin, it was a good thing she was rich. Her father deserved it. He was a hard working and loyal man. Well, the funeral lagged on and has the pastor made his speeches and talked for what a century, it was finally Sophia's turn. She hadn't worked on anything, she didn't write anything up or rehearse, this ws all from heart. She didn't know she had to speak, but when the pastor called her up, she didn't decline.

"My father was a good man. He was a good father as well. He loved his family dearly. He dared for the things he loved,  he worked hard in his business, he made sure that everything was in order. My mother and him got into a fight one night which was most likely not his falt. She wondered out into the woods, when my father found her she was in the same condion my father is in. Dead and dry. we don't know what happened to both of them and I intend to find out. Now, my beloved father is dead and I can't think of anybody else who didn't deserve this any less. He was a good man, I love him and will miss him dearly. Rest in piece father."

With that Sophia walked away from the coffin and joined her friends. The all put flowers on the coffin and even though none of Sophia's friends knew her father they still gave their respects. After they added the flowe the pastor said a few words. Then they lowered him into the ground. It was official, Sophia's father was buried. The bural had ended.

The group walked back to the car and went home. It was silent the whole way back. Nobody spoke up until after they had gone inside. Mary Kay whined that she was hungry. As everybody got food and filled up Sophia thought longa nd hard. It really did bother her that she didn't know what caused her parent's death. If something was out their that killed her parent's she wanted to know. Sophia got off the couch and walked into the kitchen.

"I'm going to find what killed my paret's." Sophia said louder than normal.

"Oh, we know dear." Mary Kay rolled her eyes.

"No, I am going to search for wha killed y parent's."

"What are you talking about dear?" Laura asked.

"you can come with me or you can go home. Your choice."

"Wait what?" Linda was confused.

"Do you guys want to help me find what killed my parents?"

"I'm sure it was some disease or sickness." MAry Kay said.

"Did you see my father? I can't even begin to explain it. You saw him, don't even try to deny it."

"Where would you be searching?" Laura asked.

"The forest."

"I'm in." John chided in.

Everybody looked at him like he was crazy.

"Yeah, I guess I am too." Laura said.

"what if it's dangerous;what if I die?" Mary Kay was freaking out.

"Then don't go. You can't think like that. I am going whether it is safe or not, and if you guys re in then great, but if not then good for you. I need extra eyes, it's never safe to go alone."

"Okay, okay. I'm in" LInda said.

Everybody looked at Mary Kay.

"Kay?" LInda asked

Mary Kay pondered for a moment. She thought about what may lie ahead. She had watched sci-fi movies. She wasn't stupid. Or was she? Because she din't believe in mega sharks or the lochness monster. She didn't like adventure, but as long as it was for a friend.

"Okay. I'm in."
