ALYSSA - Training Part II

Oh crap. I wheezed. Breathing heavily. That's at least the twenty-fifth punch I've gotten from her. I thought sisters went easy on each other. Guess not. Thank goodness I'm leaving tonight. Thalia told me not to use my powers and just to try and hit her. Hit a Hunter of Artemis. Ha. Funny. I flipped of the wall and caught her by surprise but I wasn't quick enough. She spun around and kicked me while I was in the air. I flew across the field. Jason got up and helped me up.

"That's enough for today" he said. Yeah, I need to rest. I could feel the swelling of my arms, legs and stomach. Thankfully, she didn't get my face. I stood up, ignoring the protests of my muscles and ignoring Jason's helping hand. I walked over to Thalia and smiled.

"Thanks" I said. She looked at me puzzled. If this was the last time I'd see my sister then I should at least say thank-you. Right?

"No problem, see you tomorrow" she said and laughed when I groaned. I groaned because my muscles hurt, not because I was actually training tomorrow. Jason took me back to our cabin. He ran and flopped on his bed. I did the same although I didn't run.

"You survived pretty well today" he told me. I snorted.

"Aren't you guys supposed to be my protective family?" I asked him. He laughed.

"We are but only when you need the help. Thalia held back more than she ever does, so if I were you, I'd be grateful. The last guy-" I zoned out. I thought about how I was going to leave. After a few minutes, my plan was formed. Suddenly, the wind changed. I got up and so did Jason.

"You felt that?" he asked. I nodded in confirmation. We ran outside and I saw some of the campers running around, chasing other campers with weapons. Crap. World War III right here! I watched Jason but he was gone. I looked around for someone I knew and I found Percy. Better him than anyone. I ran up to him and saw his eyes. Holy crap! They were golden. I saw the water from the lake move. He's going to hit me. He's not Percy.

"Percy" called a voice. I'd recognise it from anywhere. Annabeth. I told her to back off but she didn't listen. Percy had formed some kind of whip out of water and lashed out at me. I ducked but Annabeth didn't see it coming. She was flung out and hit the wall of Ares cabin. She didn't move. She's unconscious. Damn it. I turned to face Percy but was too late. His body went stiff, then I watched his eyes change colour. Green, Gold, Green, Gold. Then green.

"Run. They're after you" he said. His eyes changed again and the whip hit me before I saw it coming. Only, when I was flung I was caught. I stood up and thanked who ever caught me. He smiled and I felt my heart melt. Nico.

"No problem" he said. He wasn't being cocky. His smart ass attitude was replaced with a serious one. I ran for Annabeth.

"Are you ok?" I asked her. Noticing her regaining consciousness. I saw her smile.

"Yeah I-" she was cut off. Her body shook and then her eyes were gold. Crap. Not again. She got up and kicked me. I went rolling. My aching muscles hurting even more. I am so leaving after this! I noticed that Leo was battling another camper. Judging by what they were wearing, it was one of his siblings. I watched as the camper's eyes returned to normal. I knew what this 'creature' was doing. I ran in-between Leo and the camper. I felt something slide inside of me. It was cold.

"Alyssa!" I heard someone call out. I fell to my knees. Leo did the same.

"What the hell are you doing?" he asked me. I shivered, I was fighting the creature for control over my body. I was winning.

"Get-it-out-of-me" I managed. He nodded and I watched him run off. I heard someone run up behind me. I slid my hands over my stomach. I felt myself slipping away. No chance. I had to stay in the battle over my body. If the 'creature' gained control, who knew what it could do with my power. Hurt everyone, I guessed. Nope. I screamed and saw someone sit next to me.

"Fight the eidolon" she said. I saw who it was. Thalia. I smiled. My eyes started to lose vision. "No, no, no" she stammered. I watched her pull out her knife.

"Until Piper gets here, you're going to have to forgive me" she said. I nodded and saw her slice the blade across my palm. I screamed louder. "I'm so sorry" she whispered. I nodded, putting a smile on my face. I heard someone yell my name. I looked over at Leo. I smiled. He saw the blade in Thalia's hand and the deep slice on my palm. He pushed her off me.

"Stand up Alyssa" he said. I did so. I saw a gorgeous girl with chocolate brown hair and blue eyes walked into the middle of the battle. I watched her mouth move. I put my hand up. What the hell? I watched her mouth move again and I walked towards her. I saw heaps of other campers do so as well.

"Now I want you all to swear upon the River Styx, never to inhabit bodies of anyone again and to leave these campers alone". There was something in her voice that was making them do it. My mouth moved against my will and I felt something cold slip out of my body. I fell to the floor. I remembered as a kid watching Avatar, the Last Air Bender. Aang's air scooter printed into my mind. I flipped my legs in the air and felt the air scooter under my feet. I positioned them like Aang does and once I had, flew off into the woods. Time for my escape plan to be put into action.
