Ok. Because I ‘apparently’ cannot leave Bianca’s chapter like that, I am going to continue with Alyssa’s POV.
💕💕💕
ALYSSA-
I screamed. Nico just jumped off the Argo II. OFF!! I ran to the edge and looked down. I watched as his eyes returned to their usual dark colour. I watched as he plunged further and further down to the ocean below. The Agro II is at least 100ft from the ocean’s surface. I don’t know what came over me then. I jumped off after him. His screaming pierced my ears and caused tears to well up in my eyes. I can’t lose him. I can’t get Leo back by myself.
Keep telling yourself that, Bianca said.
“Nico!” Bianca screamed, momentarily taking my body. I realised why she was screaming. Nico’s eyes were gold once again. His hands was holding a small dagger and I watched as he lifted it up and-
“Nico!” I shouted. That’s when things got crazy. I stopped mid-air and moved my hands in patterns that reminded me of Katara’s water bending. Bianca made no sound. My body was in a world of its own. Moving to match the hand movements. Nico wasn’t falling any longer. The air –
Alyssa, open your eyes. Bianca spoke up.
I opened my eyes, not even realising that I had closed them. My mouth fell open. The air wasn’t holding him up. The ocean below was. The water looked like small arms, one wrapped around Nico’s body and the other wrapped around the arm which held the knife.
I breathed out a sigh but not before Nico began struggling against my hold. I knew that this ‘water-power’ of mine wasn’t going to last long. I could feel myself growing weaker and weaker.
“Alyssa, y-y-your eyes” Nico stammered.
I felt another tear fall down my cheek. “I save your life and that’s all you manage to get out of the situation?”
He nodded which brought a smile upon my face. “Hey Alyssa?”
“Yeah?” I replied.
“Duck” he stated. Before I could react, his eyes returned to their golden colour and his dagger was thrown straight at me. A strange sensation began blooming inside my stomach. My eyes slowly drooped and I felt myself falling. I clutched my stomach and felt a liquid substance fall upon them. Blood. The dagger didn’t miss me. It hit me directly in the stomach. I tasted blood inside my mouth and I knew what was going to happen next. My knees were weak and I was stumbling. My powers were faulting sure enough, I started plummeting to the ocean below.
A menacing laugh came from Nico’s direction. “My job is done here, He will be proud”. Nico’s eyes returned to their normal colour and panic was instantly seen in them. “Alyssa!” he shrieked. I sent him a small smile before cold water encased my body. Why can’t I ever save anyone without becoming the victim myself?
💕💕💕
I heard a voice. The panic and worry in their voice made me feel horrible. I tried to open my eyes but they were glued shut. Something was holding tight to my right hand. I attempted to pull away from the grasp but it was firm.
“Please…”
“Please wake…”
“Please wake up…”
The voice sounded familiar but it began to fade. Before I knew it, I couldn’t hear or feel anything at all.
✨✨
Arion was the fastest horse I’d ever seen. He flew across the water at an insane speed. I laughed as Frank pulled me closer to him, obviously frightened of the speed we were going at. My curls were blocking my eyesight so the next thing I knew, I was eating sand. I spat out the contents of my mouth and looked around for Frank. I saw him dragging himself onto the beach, seaweed all over his body. I glared at Arion, wondering what would have made him stop. He stomped his hoof on the ground and I knew what he wanted at an instant.
