PERCY-

Annabeth and I hopped onto what I hoped was a stable boat. Well, rowboat. It was wooden and creaked when Annabeth stepped into it.

“I don’t weigh that much” she muttered. I rolled my eyes. Man, she can be a bit dramatic sometimes. “So, where’s Tyson at?”

“I don’t know” I answered honestly. “-But, I’d suggest looking at Camp Half-Blood to see if Dad’s told him about the prophecy” I added.

“Yeah, sounds good. We should stock up on some nectar and ambrosia while we’re there”

“I really don’t want to get into a situation where we have to use any of it” I winced.

“You’re not the only one”. I nodded in agreement. Once I was in the boat, we left Camp Jupiter. I enjoyed the smell of the salty sea, the different shades of blue the ocean was coloured in and most importantly, how pretty Annabeth looked. Wind in her hair, blonde flying everywhere. Her eyes were focused on the water, watching it intently. Her eyebrows furrowed which proved my theory. She’s coming up with a plan. She breathed in deeply and began speaking.

“It’s creepy”

“Huh?” I asked.

“Your staring, it’s creepy” she repeated. She turned away but I caught a glimpse of the small smile and pink colour forming on her cheeks.

“Anyway, what were you thinking about?” I asked.

“How- never mind” she corrected herself, remembering that I was ‘staring’ at her. I call it observing. Sounds less creepy. “That Venus kid, she’s meant to replace Piper right? It’s just that, something’s off with her. She looked at you and Jason like she wanted to -”

“-Eat us” I finished for her. She nodded reluctantly.

“It didn’t look right – I mean – not even in the I’m-a-Percy-fan girl kind of way” she said. I blushed when she said ‘Percy-fan girl’. Man, I really don’t want those demi-gods following me. Definitely stalkers. Certified stalkers.

“U-uh, y-yeah” I stammered.

“What’s that?” Annabeth asked, squinting at the water.

“What’s what?” I asked, puzzled. Nothing would hurt me in the water. It’s my territory. Dad’s territory. The boat rocked right, then left.

“Wait… Rainbow?!” Annabeth spoke, confusion evident in her voice. Her statement clicked.

“What is Rainbow doing here?” I asked.

“It’s not just Rainbow, there’s a naiad on her back”

This naiad had beautiful brown hair and brown eyes. Her eyes locked on mine and felt her emotion. Fear. Rainbow flew out of the water and swam until he was to Annabeth and I.
