| Ethan's POV |
Emma text me and told me that she, Sarah and a new found friend were going to Alfred's for a coffee date. I know she loves that place and just thinking about her excitement about going makes my heart heave with happiness.
I'm bored without her so I go and find Grayson, I know he feels the same without Sarah so I ask if he wants to do something. Maybe film a better video seen as our last one was shit.
We decide on just hanging in my room, we don't talk that much because he scrolls through his twitter account on my bed as I begin a new game of fortnite.
Suddenly his phone begins to blare and he instantly picks it up,
"Hi babe I-"
He pauses himself and listens deeply into the phone, he stands from the bed with a scowl. He hasn't spoken yet which worries me so I spin round in my chair and watch as he begins to pace.
"Hey hey hey calm down, lock yourself there and we'll be there soon. Baby I promise it'll be okay- just- just look after her. Please"
He ends the call and pushes his phone deep in his pocket before shouting,
"We need to fucking go now"
I don't even thinking about asking why, judging from the tone of his voice I guess it's important so I don't even spend time putting my shoes on, I just carry them to the car.
"What's going on?" I finally ask as he speeds round a corner and nearly runs a red light "gray what the fuck-"
"It's Emma" he says and my heart beat literally stops and then restarts twice as fast.
"W-What about her? Is she okay? Why did she ring you? I-"
"Sarah rang me, she doesn't have your phone number. She said that Emma thought she saw Aaron and that she freaked out in the bathroom. She's basically having a panic attack and they don't know what the fuck to do" he grips the wheel tighter
"I'm gonna kill the bastard" I snarl to myself as Grayson skids his car into a parking spot and jumps out. We're running towards Alfred's and there's no sign of Aaron but I'm still looking.
Grayson barges in first, speeding towards the bathroom stalls. He bangs upon the girls toilet door and waits for a reply, Sarah hurries to the door. She's panicking too, I can see it in her eyes.
Grayson takes her into a hug as I barge past them both to where Emma is curled in a ball on the floor next to a girl who is trying to comfort her.
She's shaking and rocking and every so often she tugs upon her hair as she cries.
"Emma Baby-" I reach out to touch her but she flinches under my touch and shoots away from me sobbing into her hands.
"No no no no" she repeats in a shaky mumble towards her knees.
It hurts that she's scared of me but I refuse to let it stop me, I crouch to the level of the other girl who even though I had never seen her before looks extremely concerned for Emma.
"Baby it's me" I whisper but she shakes her head and rocks herself back and fourth
"H-he's o-o-out there" she stutters still refusing to show her face as she buries it into the rest of her body.
"What do we do?" Whispers Sarah to Grayson who still clutches her into his side, he looks at me with a clenched jaw and then back at Emma. I know it's hurting him too.
"Emma, who am I?" I ask and her head wearily raises from her knees to look at me, she looks a mess and I just want to cuddle her but I need to take it slow
"E-ethan" she whispers
"Good baby. Now tell me who everyone else is"
Her head raises slightly more and although she's still trembling the conversation takes her mind away from the trauma for a few seconds.
"That's G-Grayson And Sarah and this is L-L-Lexi"
Her eyes are darting around the room and I can tell she starts to panic again so I follow that up with another question.
"What project did we have to do in health class, Emma?" I question and her eyes land upon mine. The striking blue held so much torment.
"The Baby project"
"Yeah baby that's right" I smile slowly extending my arm to let my hand briefly brush hers, she does twitch but she allows it to happen "we called her Luna and she was the start of us. Do you remember?"
"Y-Yeah" she replies in a stutter looking down at my large hand next to hers, confused.
"Do you remember when you fell in love with me?" I blurt and she does a shy nod, I can feel her hand still trembling but it's gotten better and a wave of relief floods over me "when?"
She wraps her hand round my finger but doesn't reply she just crashes her body into my chest and lets out a horrific sob. My whole heart tears in two but I hold it together by closing my eyes and counting to ten.
"We need to go home, E" Grayson says still clutching to Sarah like she's going to run away.
I manage to get both myself and Emma up off of the floor of the toilets. She wraps her arms round my neck and buries her head into the crook of my neck.
When we get in the car, Lexi offers to drive Emma's car back to our place. I agree and the girl disappears as I pull Emma into my side in the back seats.
"He's not gonna hurt you, I've got you" I breath into her hair and it's true. I swear to god, if I get the chance I'll murder him.
"Bro I think someone's following us" Grayson panics as he looks in the rear view mirror and Sarah swings herself round in her seat to look out the windscreen.
Maybe my chance to kill Aaron is going to come quicker than I anticipated.
