Kazuto's POV

"Who?"

"Nobuyuki Sugou, Sir."

"Is this my lucky day or what?" I say sarcastically. I let out a desperate sigh before I answer the call. Be polite, be polite.

"Is this Kirigaya Kazuto-kun?"

"Yes, it is. Who am I speaking to?" I pretend to not know.

"It's Nobuyuki Sugou." He says simply. "Are you busy now?"

"No, I'm free at this moment." Just cut to the chase will ya?!

"Perfect. Then, I'll get to the point." He stays quiet for a few seconds. "Get away from my future wife, you Jerk."

I'm dumbfounded at that. Did he really just say that?

"I was engaged to her first, so you better step back, Kid."

"Is that a threat?" I say clenching my fist.

"A threat? Oh no, no it's not. It's a warning."

"So, playing dirty now are we?" He stays quiet when I say that. "Mr. Nobuyuki, did you make sure that all the money is safely hidden?" I can hear surprise gasp from him.

"What are you talking about, Kid?"

"You know exactly what I'm talking about. But, because I'm nice, I'll tell you. Is the money that you took safely hidden?" I wait for his comeback, but nothing come out from his line. So, I continue.

"Thread carefully, Mr. Nobuyuki. I'm not a kid you want to mess with." I say before I hang up.

"Tasu, keep an eye on him too, will you?"

"Certainly, Sir."

12pm

I walk out of my room fully ready to go out. "Kidou-san, is Eugeo here?" I ask when I see him cleaning the table in the living room.

"Not yet, Sire." He says.

"It's rare for him to be not on time." I mutter.

VZZT VZZT

I take out my phone, "Hey, Eugeo. Where you at?"

"Going into your house."

"Then, why calling?" I ask as the front door is opened. I hang up the call.

"You won't believe who just come to my house." He says with Alice beside him.

"Let me guess, my parent?" I say as I walk towards Alice. "Nice to see you again, Alice." I hug her.

"It's been a long time, Kazuto." She says before she kisses my cheek.

"Asuna is still in her room." I say.

"Mind if I go there?"

"Go ahead." I look back to Kidou-san. "Can you take her there?"

"Certainly, Sir." He bows. "Right this way, Miss Alice."

When they leave, I look back at Eugeo who is standing there with his hand on his pocket. "You knew?" I nod.

"I asked a friend to keep an eye on them." I say. We walk to the sofa in the living room. "Did they say anything about me?"

"Of course they do. They're playing the victim part." He says crossing his legs.

"Not surprised..." I lock my hands in front of me. "Your Dad said anything?"
