KNOCK KNOCK
"Come in." I say muting the TV. The door opened with Eugeo walking in.
"Afternoon, Kazuto." He says standing next to the bed.
"Afternoon. Already finish work?"
"Of course." He winks. "Anyway, How are you feeling?"
"Nothing's changed." I say with a shrug.
"Bored?"
"Very." I say with a sigh.
"Well~, I might be able to help you with that." He says walking back to the door.
"Ooh~, and what might that be?" I ask in interests.
"Not what, Kazu. Not what." He says with a smirk before he opens the door.
When the door opened and reveal the person behind it. All I can do is just say the name that I've been missing. "Asuna..."
She's still wearing her school uniform and her eyes are teary. "I'll leave you two alone." Eugeo says as he walks out of the room and closes the door.
She walks to the bed and I slide to my right a bit to let her sit on the edge. "How are you feeling?" She asks.
"I feel fine." I lie. She looks at me as she reaches out her hand and starts to caress my cheek. I miss this warmness... I lean on the touch.
I raise my hand and grab her hand. I kiss it gently. "I miss you." I say putting down her hand to my lap and rub it with my thumb.
"I miss you too, Kirito-kun..." She says as she wipes her tear away. "I was so worried about you..."
"I'm sorry..." I say. "I didn't mean to make you worry..."
"It's not your fault, Kirito-kun." She says.
"I think I should explain everything to you... After all, you and I are a couple. Everything I do will have some impact on you, like this..."
"Are you okay with it though? I don't mind if you can't do it now." She looks really worried.
"It's fine. The sooner the better, I guess..." I lean closer and kiss her forehead.
"If you're okay with it, then I'll listen." She says as she leans her forehead to mine.
"Thank you." I give her a peck on the lips before leaning back.
I explain everything to her from the beginning, the very beginning. While I do that, Asuna starts to caress my hand as it starts to shake.
Once I finish, Asuna slides closer to me and hug me. "You've been through a lot." She whispers to my ear. "For years, you've been in so much pain alone. But, now, let me be by your side and share the pain with you. As a couple." She kisses the side of my head.
