Chapter 24

Kazuto's POV

I lean on the window of the car while we're on our way back. "You okay, Kaz?" Eugeo asks holding my shoulder.

"I'm fine." I say with a weak smile. Eugeo doesn't look convinced, but he doesn't push me on. "Just tired, that's all."

We reach the mansion area, "I'll be using EC here." I say taking it out from my pocket under my blazer.

"Sure thing." He says before he opens the door.

I activate EC, "How was it?" Aunt Akari asks as soon as the three of us are out.

"I'll tell you later." Uncle Yuuto says kissing Aunt Akari cheek before they walk in. I look at Eugeo who is whispering something to Alice.

"Let's go in, Lovebirds." I say while I go in.

I can hear both of them laugh behind me. "Do you want to tell Asuna?" Eugeo asks.

"Maybe later." I say absently.

"Are your body hurt anywhere?" Alice suddenly asks holding my shoulder making me stop.

"Huh?" I turn to her and she gives me a worried look. Guess I'll just tell them, huh. "A little bit." I admit. She pulls back her hand like she's afraid that she'll hurt me if she keeps on holding my shoulder.

"Need a painkiller?" Eugeo asks.

"No need. No need." Both of them give me a very worried look. "It's fine, I'll just get some rest. I'm sure the pain will disappear." I say before I leave them.

Eugeo's POV

I look at Kazu while he goes through the hallway to his room. I let out a sigh, "He's really stubborn..." I say.

Alice rubs my back, "You don't have the right to say that, Eugeo. You're just the same as him." She says with a giggle.

I give her a surprised look, "Why does everyone always say that?" I ask her which makes her laugh even more. She kisses my cheek before walking to the living room. "Oy! Don't leave me hanging like that." I follow her.

"I'll tell Asuna about the court. I'm sure she's worried about it." She says as she sits down on the sofa while I sit on the armchair next to her.

"Then, what do you want me to do?" I ask.

"Well, you still have work to do don't you?"

"You need to remind me about that..."

"Go on, then."

"Hai hai..." I stand up lazily before walking to my room.

I walk past Kazu's room and sees the door opened like usual. I take a peak and see him laying on his bed staring at the ceiling thinking. What are you thinking now, Kaz?

"I know you're there, Eugeo." He says nonchalantly.

I scoff before pushing the door open and walk in. "Whatcha thinking?"

"Just something..." He says absently.

"Well, don't think too hard or your injuries will take a longer time to heal." I say putting my hand on my waist.

"Yeah..." He says before letting out a sigh. "When will the cast be taken off again?"

"Around 3 weeks for your hands and 5 for your leg." I say matter of factly.

"I'm bored..."

"Of course you are. So, I was thinking about whether you want to go out sometimes. You know, enjoying the spring. The sakura are beautiful, how about take Asuna out on a picnic with your other friends?" I suggest.
